I would do it if my employer let me WFH from there and I had a fast, reliable internet connection for work. I sure as hell wouldn't test WV's job market though. It's bad enough here.
It depends on your background. The best jobs are in IT, healthcare, energy, coal mining, auto manufacturing (Toyota plant), and government. Overall the job market is what you would expect in Appalachia meets the rust belt.
Otter creek is great for more established trails. Monongahela also has just tons of forest routes, old logging roads. Can discover a lot out there

I've done about half the otter creek trail. It was ok, but if I'm being honest it was not the most scenic. I'm looking for less established suggestions, like there's some trails west of Parsons that don't really seem to go anywhere or have views but maybe I'm wrong.

My buddy spilled his spaghetti with a big trail crew girl cutting laurel on the mountain trail there in Otter Creek... twice lmfao
>Didn't they become a cuck state a few years back?
where did you get that idea?
iirc you can't buy guns at a gun show without a background check in va, de, md, pa, ny, etc. but you can in WV, if anything its gun laws are probably pretty similar to TN/KY/NC

>spilled his spaghetti
meaning tried to hit on her?
>big trail crew girl cutting laurel on the mountain trail
do you know which one? The connector trail I took was in garbage shape and hadn't been cleared since after Hurricane Sandy in 2013 (I asked the forest service). The main Otter Creek trail was ok but the lower section was ultra-muddy one time I tried it. There was terrible erosion on the connector trail I took, it was super dangerous and unpleasant you were stuck between thick brush and a steep cliff because the old railroad bed was totally overgrown with rhododendron.
It was up on the mountain, Shavers maybe, idr was like 3 years back.
That one really eroded spot is still there, I almost ate it drunk carrying like four long guns and hundreds of rounds of ammo there one night. >meaning tried to hit on her?
No, she was hitting on him. Kinda hinted she was hoping we'd be camping nearby their crew camp (we werent). We just out and backed that trail, and when we passed them the next morning, she said hi to him and he yardsaled his hiking poles slipping and ignored her. He missed out, trail crew grils are fun.
(I know he'll read this and I hope he is having fun in actual PrepHole paradise now)
I am a multi-ethnic New Yorker who just transitioned into a WFM management consultant job. My goal is to move to WV, purchase 100 acres, then subdivide the property into 1 acre lots in order to build multi-family housing for asylum seekers new to America.
Been thinking of relocating to WV from Philly. Where should I be looking? Thinking of a house close to town but still kinda rural then buy up a few acres in the middle of nowhere for hunting and target shooting stuff
>be me >move to west virginia >get a small amount of money that'll get blown on a atv or some shit >go PrepHole to enjoy "the outdoors paradise" >get kidnapped and raped by moonshining hillbillies >tfw this is the average west virginian
you couldn't pay me 12k to go live with pigfuckers
they don't have real grocery stores, I think I'd go mad being stuck with the shop and save express and nothing else
What is this city? What happened to it where they are at the point where they need to pay people to go there? I really do not trust this listing...
Pretty sure it's Morgantown, I remember looking into it. It's full of drunk college kids and a pretty shitty city.
Morgantown is terrible and it's somehow the best city in WV, never move there
but /misc/ told me its the best state because everyone there is white
i mean that is true but it's also the only state i've seen with state sponsored billboards reminding pregnant ladies not to drink
It's like Fallujah, but built into a mountain, and drunks throwing lawn furniture instead of jihadis shooting AKs

what are the best jobs in WV if you can't work from home?
Probably a federal government job. Or you can live in the eastern panhandle (Martinsburg, Harpers Ferry) and commute to the DMV like some people do.
ok apart from government or working elsewhere, what are the best jobs?
It depends on your background. The best jobs are in IT, healthcare, energy, coal mining, auto manufacturing (Toyota plant), and government. Overall the job market is what you would expect in Appalachia meets the rust belt.
depends on what you can do. The cost of living is pretty fucking low out there
What’s the eastern panhandle like? Civilized or holler trash?
WV fag reporting in. Currently posting from a campground called "Broken Wheel"
have you ever been to mann cave distillery?
Nah actually, the bar in town to be at is Blues
its not a bar, its a guy who sells gin/vodka
I'm more of a beer person, usually steer clear of a distillery unless its my neighbor's moonshine
Anyone have any questions about WV? I've done a fair bit of exploring in the past 6 years here
yeah where do you like exploring?

Because I live in rural western Oregon.
Stay the fuck out. We're full.
PrepHole paradise maybe, but not /k/. Didn't they become a cuck state a few years back? I can't do a Fallout LARP without half my guns anon
