Why haven't the Phillipines gotten their own water cannon ships?

Why haven't the Phillipines gotten their own water cannon ships? Why can't they settle it with a big water gun fight in the Pacific?

They're poor and have more important things to worry about like clean drinking water, castrating all remaining Muslims and so on.

It would be funny as shit if the Philippines stuck some huge fricking pump inside an otherwise unassuming ship and beat the Chinese at their own game the next time they tried to start a water fight.

What are the long term possibilities of China literally shitting over every regional neighbor?

It remains to be seen but if they offer enough trade you can shit all over everyone for a long time before people do anything about it

I'm surprised they haven't formed a coalition to start building their own bases in the Spratleys.

That would require the SEA nations to first agree on their claims, which they don't. The Filipinos claim what the Vietnamese claim what the Chinese claim... etc. The SCS is literally the wild west, which is why China, holding the biggest stick, basically gets to do what they want.

Remember back when people used to say that Japan and the Philippines wouldn't want host US GLCMs or other assets as 'they'd become a target for China"? Well now the Philippines is *actively* hosting the Mid Range Capability with ground launched SM-6 and TLAMs and Japan is investing in self-defense cruise missiles.

I'm honestly really angry with US politicians for sending so much power and wealth to China instead of everyone around China. We got ripped off.

Seems like it worked perfectly. It's turned every neighbour of Russia and China into the most staunch US supporters in the world. Meanwhile these "rival" militaries are so incompetent that they no longer pose even the slightest threat (see Ukraine).

There is a silver lining though, we get cheap products at the Chinese working/middle classes expense. The CCP subsidizing heavy industry and maximizing exports isn't without consequence.

Yeah and besides the Chinese do the jobs homeless Americans don't want. Just like the Mexicans.

Why the frick can't ecoterrorists allahu ackbar Chinksect fishing boat fleets instead of constantly b***hing about me mowing my lawn?

Chinese crap is just that. 30 years ago you could buy a product and it'd just work for 20 years, sure things might be a bit cheaper now but the products you get are trash and won't last 5 years.

It was literally right after the Vietnam War (the one vs the US) where China wanted to "punish" the Vietnamese for going after Cambodia which was being run disastrously by the Khmer Rouge

lmao who cares about some random little war in asia forever ago, like who is expected to know about every third world country war in the past 100 years, Africa and the Middle east probably have had dozens that no one even remembers
