Why hasn't anyone stuck 5000 rounds of ammo and one or two machine guns on a drone?

Why hasn't anyone stuck 5000 rounds of ammo and one or two machine guns on a drone? It would be used to strafe infantry concentrations. Why does this not exist? What prevents this use of drones? Just go fast, strafe, and come back. It could even be autonomous, not like the infantry could move faster than the super sonic drone can get there.

Bombs and grenades are more effective. Machine guns are for air to air, which drones are godawful at. A WWI biplane could shoot down the most cutting-edge drones today.

I think it would be cheaper than having dedicated bombing drones. Those could then be reserved for anti-vehicle missions. And the grenade capacity of repurposed civilian drones is lacking. You're saying strafing infantry is an outdated concept?
Aren't drones too fast for a biplane to catch up to them?

this a bomb can hit 5m away from the target and it doesnt matter

It wouldn’t be cheaper in terms of equal effectiveness and strafing is an outdated concept outside of no other option and danger close.

because these drones can mount laser guided bombs which are vastly more effective than a gun strafe.

I've actually thought about this before. A loitering drone platform with some sort of turreted belt fed grenade launcher could be nice.

That sounds tight as frick, anon.

Basically a Cobra but a plane instead. The idea would be that it would be an excellent glider, and would have longer loiter times. It could still have missile/bomb pylons for such use, but the idea is that it trades giant explosive capabilities for long loiter, targeted kills. Basically how Ukrainians are using their grenade drones, but you have a big frickoff 40mm belt fed grenade launcher instead. Even if the targets spread out you can lob a grenade at each and every one of them while they sit in their trenches.
Biggest issue is you'd probably want a bespoke grenade launcher, because any jams would be a mission ender.

If the launcher jams you could arm all the grenades and crash the drone in a spot with the highest density of enemy troops or a nearby bridge.

Sorry son but I just want to discuss alternative drone usage. Please be more constructive in your criticism.

1 light guided bomb/missile will do it quick and suddenly before they will have a chance disperse and from afar, without risking the drone

Small drones don't have the payload for that. Grenades are more effective.
Even for larger drones like the Bayraktar, it has a very small payload. It would have to strafe, which means it would hit nothing. Its small laser guided bombs are much more effective.

Consider how soldiers have to aim their guns, and they still miss most of their shots. You will never ever ever ever hit something with a gun on a drone. This has been decided long ago.
The only way this works is by having a stabilized turret that shoots bigger caliber explosive rounds, like on the Apache. And that is much heavier.

I'm not shitposting here because I'm actually bummed about it but missiles have been winning over guns, everywhere, for decades
