Why has the k21 IFV failed to secure any export orders?

Why has the k21 IFV failed to secure any export orders? It’s comparable to the CV90 family of fighting vehicles that have sold hundreds of units, but it hasn’t managed to sell a single unit. Is the Swedish 40mm fire control system really that much better?

Because military contracts are a lot about politics. Also, it was made for Korea, and I dont even know if they have offered it in europe, wich incidentally is where all the CV90s are.

CV90 has sold 1280 units since developed in 1993, operators are Sweden, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland

K21 has 466 units in operation with an additional 120 units for a total of 586 units and was developed in 2009, there are several nations considering the K21 for large acquisitions to include South Korea and Australia, the Australia Land 400 is highly publicized but the South Korea acquisition could be even more significant, South Korea has over 2200+ infantry fighting vehicles but whereas Australia plans to upgrade from the 431 M113s, South Korea plans to upgrade from the 1700 M113s

Poland is evaluating the K21 and could actually get units ahead of both South Korea or Australia

Norway obviously developing close ties with SK MIC with the large agreements announced over the past few months, could eventually be a customer as the CV90 is an aging system in comparison to the latest IFVs

Also Joach Finkielman was in South Korea very recently so Denmark is obviously looking as well

Of the existing CV90 operators, a minimum of both Norway and Denmark will mothball or donate to Ukraine the CV90s and buy K21s as the upgrade

Why the hell would they do this when both of them had all of their CV90s uppgraded last year, and Norway bought new ones, some of wich isnt even delivered yet.

Are you sure this isn’t s BMP? Those thin ass tracks and doors give huge USSR vibes

Modern IFVs generally have thinner tracks to enhance mobility particularly at speed over terrain

Wider tracks especially if carrying troops are prone to suspension damage and tracks falling off due to the ground pressure relative to the mass of the vehicle

There's a reason why the K21 is considered the best IFV in the world and you are not designing anything other than a makeshift dildo

No one thinks that. It doesn’t even have a single export sale
