Because they want to arm people for as little profit as possible so it basically a public service. /arg/ are literal furgay trannies who don't shoot and make fun of you if your rifle isn't KAC and cost over 4k usd.
the only thing I like about KAC is their configuration for the receiver extension/castle nut/endplate setup.
KAC used a pin to secure the extension through their endplate and thus makes the castle nut not need to be super-torqued or staked. I wish this was a standard feature of the ar15 platform but KAC has gotta make money somehow i guess.
The singular major weakpoint of the ar15 is the castle nut, and even if you stake it its not really that reliable.
I look forward to the day bufferless BCG's are cheap and commonplace in the ar15 market.
Turbonerds cream their pants over the fact that Eugene Stoner worked for them for a while in the 90s and improved some aspects of the design. However they are super expensive and they've been known to give civvies second or third rate shit compared to their military contracts.
PSA is the greatest firearms manufacturer in the world and has armed millions and millions of American cheaply with high quality hardware. People who don't like them can suck my wiener and balls.
the reality is not everyone can afford a Ferrari, but a Ford is in their price range, I dont care what others buy. Dont fool yourself by thinking your Ford is in anyway in the same class as a Ferrari.
>ford >practical, useful, fixable, won't be a garage queen >ferrari >tells everyone you have more money than sense and buy solely on brand rather than aesthetic, functionality, or even practicality
also this line of thinking is actually redguard-tier
But Fords are much cheaper and easier to maintain and they accomplish literally everything you need from a car. What you're saying is that the only reason to buy a more expensive AR is exclusively to flex and show off your money?
Will a PSA do all the things a KAC does? When you push the limits of the firearm you will see the difference. Similarly you will see a difference with QA and fitment. I used Ford v Ferrari, but it could just be any economy car vs a luxury car.
Dont overthink it. Its a very simplistic point of view. My point is and was, IDGAF what people buy. Its their money.
You're using the analogy badly because actual sports cars are very different than most street vehicles and require a lot more maintenance. Presumably, a KAC should have identical maintenance requirements to a PSA, or even slightly lower ones. In any case It's more like the difference between a Raush and a regular Mustang but that's still a bad comparison.
No, but it will do 98% percent. At the end of the day we are talking about milled aluminum and steel. The biggest problem is making sure things are in spec, and PSA is a lot better then they used to be.
the reality is not everyone can afford a Ferrari, but a Ford is in their price range, I dont care what others buy. Dont fool yourself by thinking your Ford is in anyway in the same class as a Ferrari.

Yes - one is sensible, reliable, and can actually be used hard without guilt or fear. The other one is definitely cool and gets a lot of attention but far too expensive for the premium you pay.
From a practical perspective a $1600 budget would be MUCH better spent on a $600 PSA-15 and a $1000 ACOG than a $1600 DD rifle. PSAs are reliable as frick and shoot just fine, better than your dad's Rem 700.

moron comparison. Because they are almost identical. Maybe. Honda Civic vs Black personed out Honda civic. Because you can upgrade everything on the Civic to become the Black person civic if you want.
I generally like nicer quality things, but I am also a practical man. I realize I'm not getting a lot extra with a high priced gun since I only shoot at paper, steel, varmints, or game. I am not an operator. I don't throw my shit around. It basically punches paper 95% of the time. I am really conflicted if I want to spend $1000 on a serviceable AR or spend $4000 on an expensive one. I realize as well that I generally buy guns for life, so if I spend $4000 on a gun, in the grand scheme it's not that bad of an investment, but thats the enabler in my head talking.
At the end of the day gun ownership isn't going to survive if its nothing more than the curiousity of rich men. Producing firearms at a price where they're available to a large segment of the general public is essential.
>can't even add sling >can't literally add anything
yes, this... exactly this... can't add any supporting gear... literally like running a hand held pvs14
>pvs14 bad because needs mount, helmet, ir light and laser to be useful HURR DURR
lol I was just about to post that. I got a pack of 3 blem lowers and looked them over and couldn't find any.
The two best explanations I've heard are: >PSA tests QC in batches. So if one product in a lot is a blem, they're all sold as blems.
And >They're mostly not actually blems. PSA just figured out that products sell faster if you call them "blems" and knock a little off the price. It's literally just a marketing gimmick. This also has the added benefit of all the free advertising that comes from "I couldn't even find the blemish!" posts.
I'm not sure if either is true, but they both make a certain degree of sense.
PSA has basically turned the "black friday" strategy into their entire year-round sales plan. Overprice something and then sell the "blems" for cheaper, and still make a massive profit.
PSA could sell their uppers for $200 shipped and still turn a profit.
IKEA does the same thing. So does Walley World. If a store lists the "MSRP" then gives a discount as the real price, it's all marketing.
I have several Ford trucks that had the exact same thing break on them, those god damn gear shifters are about the same level of quality as a casted barrel trunnion
That's why they keep breaking. You keep buying them regardless. Get a Taco.
This. The reason why PSA is so inexpensive is because they manufacture in-house and produce A METRIC FRICK TON. For every 1000 rifles BCM/DD/SOLGW produces and individual-inspects, PSA can pump out 10,000 and batch-test.
PSA ends up with more lemons overall, but because their stock is so large they can easily replace their frickups
While that's a good strategy for business, the problem is that sooner or later they're going to look for more cost-cutting measures for increased profits and lower price point.
It's only a short trot to Taurus-level quality from there.
I dont know, I would rate Taurus a little higher than PSA, Taurus isnt trying to make rifles that can kill me if they frick it up, the worst I have to worry about is losing a couple of fingers
because they're only "range" quality, and /arg/gays don't want to accept that "range shooting" is all they'll ever do and "muh boog" or "ruso-chinese invasion" are never going to happen.
My bro has a PSA and I have a BCM and they both get the job done. Different strokes for different folks.
I bought a PSA meme lower and eventually slapped a 16” mid Freedom budget upper on it. It’s fine as far fit and stuff. Might not pass SOCOM specs but it’s like a rando build for shits and grins and I used other parts to spruce it up.
I just realized if a boog happens, at some point someone will get killed by a gun with a PSA meme lower and there's a greater than zero chance the shooter will fortnite dance over their dead body.
I just realized if a boog happens, at some point someone will get killed by a gun with a PSA meme lower and there's a greater than zero chance the shooter will fortnite dance over their dead body.
Snek will meme into reality. Also I have a second meme lower for fire support.
PSA's website absolutely steals credit card info. Other than that they make gay ugly tasteless AR's for poorgays to cope over. Their AK stuff seems interesting though and they have some good deals.
BCM or LaRue upper slapped on a decent lower is the best bang for your buck quality build, IMO.
I'm convinced everyone buying Daniel Defense is a moronic brwndprostitute easily seduces by marketing.
Anything really. I got a 80% aluminum one, only thing is that I didn't make it have an ambidextrous safety ,I reccomend if you want that
Anything more than aluminum works, if drilled and milled properly. Some rookie mistakes I made were making the pocket containing the hammer not milled out fully enough to allow the hammer full range of motion and I had to keep popping it open with a dremol tool to make more space
Eh, maybe? Probably fine, but I have heard of there being a few QC problems with how their parts kits were installed. I'd get PSA or Aero stripped lower and a good quality LPK and then build it myself. I personally used an Anderson stripped lower for my first gun, but I've since heard a lot of stories of those having mag wells that were too tight to fit pmags or out-of-spec roll pin holes or buffer threads, so I probably wouldn't go with them again.
IMO as long as your lower is in spec the brand doesn't matter, but the cheapest ones have a higher chance of NOT being in spec, so I think it's worth dropping a few extra bucks to not have to deal with that stuff. But people paying $150+ for stripped lowers because they think they're higher quality are dumb (if they're doing it because they want one that looks cool or whatever that's fine, but if they think they're better in a way that matters, they're once again getting duped by marketing).
>bad because "muh joos"
Yes. They're the major group responsible for the destruction of the West and erosion of rights. Also the biggest gibs Black folk in all of human history.
Because it hurts their elitist's feelings for brands that care more about arming law enforcement homosexuals and fed death squads than they do about providing civilians with quality firearms.
Fricking Ruger's betrayal recently hurts the most with their support of the ATF. Mil-gays and Law gays don't even give a shit about Ruger.
Not that any of it matters because these morons think agencies from Russia and China are somehow making some effort to influence losers, weebs, and social outcasts with no money or power into some propaganda psyops when this places receives more visitors from Reddit and glow in the dark agencies than it does from foreign nationals.

Law or not, ATF is a homosexual administration and out right traitors. Ruger deserves to go under along with all the other companies who bent the knee. Frick the public trading sector bullcrap.
Print your own then, mid-wit. If you have to have a proper gun, buying part kits for stuff like the Ruger 10/22 from a third party doesn't give them a single penny.
>surefire
I like their lights >l3
They're the Gucci of pvs14 >SA
I want a hellion because I liked the VHS before it was cool and they're the only way I can get it.
Everyone else is everyone else.
Yeah basically. I don't understand how anyone can have a hard time figuring that out. It's just like with shitty vidya. If you absolutely have to play it, pirate it or get a 2nd hand copy. Or just don't bother at all. I still love my LCP and 10/22 even though I can't financially support Ruger anymore. D.D. is a meme and always ends up on a mass shooter's arsenal suspiciously and you can just mix and match high quality or low quality AR parts from companies thay aren't meme crap.
>buy cheapest possibly AR >put a couple cheap accessories on it >post it in /arg/ expecting hugbox 'gj man welcome to guns!' style replies >get shit on for having zero impulse control and just buying the cheapest shit possible >make a thread talking about how Thing makes Xgays seethe
>PSA is the cheapest AR available
Expecting a hugbox is Reddit-tier, but being a pretentious c**t to everyone is a bit to far a shift in the opposite direction.
A mutt having no impulse control is much different than an 18 year old who spent the last 2 years saving for his first rifle only to be told he should commit sudoku.
no one is going to respect someone who just buys shit based exclusively off of the pricetag. judging by your stupid pic, i assume you ARE that someone.
In a world of infinite resources you would be correct, however we don't live in that world so value prospect can be a huge factor in someone's purchasing decision. There are items designed for idiots with no impulse control who don't know what they are getting (turkshit shotguns, pioneer AKs, Century built AKs, BCA etc), but PA stuff seems to at least attempt to offer a serviceable product.
/arg/ might be the gayest general on this site. Full of either fatties or dyel twinks who spend all their money on equipment they’ll never use so they can larp as operators.

if it was a brand new gun and it was like that out of box and the company offered a warranty, of course i would
if i scratched it myself or it was used, i wouldnt give a shit because it doesnt affect the gun
i would keep using it until enough of the coating wore off/got scratched off and normal oiling wont keep rust away

But why do they need to fricking post about it. It's like facebook moms in 2010 updating their status every few minutes
Thinking that having 5-10k spare income to blow on a rifle and accessories makes you a richgay is laughable.
There was a guy bragging about his 12k nods, absolute moronic homosexual.
I’m into racing cars, I have a shitty Miata which I’ve extensively modified and try to track it at least once a month, I’ve blown more on this bullshit in the last few years than you gun homosexuals will in a lifetime.
>calls other people richgays just because they are showing off something they bought >goes on to talk about how hes spent more money than them on his stupid car
I never really understood that attitude either. Guns are dirt fricking cheap in the context of rich guy hobbies. Even stuff like rare NFA guns or high end H&H shotguns pale in comparison to the money getting dropped at any random car auction.
Unless you have cool shit. Then its your obligation to let other people have fun with it. Don't be the butthole kid who won't share the ball he brought. Remember when gun ownership was a community, not clout chasing?
because you can get a rifle for $450 that is essentially just as good as their $1200 rifle
literally the only thing bad about PSA is its inconsistent on how much they oil the guns and not everything is torque down right or they have small scratches
if you just clean the gun and ensure everything is tight you are set, its like 20 minutes of work to save $500+
Honestly I think their logo is the coolest out of all the gun makers.
They somehow avoided the flat pill that plagues not just other gun brands, but the majority of all modern brands.
gucci gays mad a cheap AR can kill just as good as their $3000 shit with QC issues
lol cope
im trans by the way
I've read through this entire thread, and this is the most correct answer.
There is literally nothing wrong with buying a PSA AR. It will work, it will do its job well, and you can always strap on fancier parts later.
Is your toilet paper roll plated in gold too, homosexual
Love my psa poverty pony.
Simple as.
>buy clearance holosun optic
>put it on my gun

>watch people seethe
Because they want to arm people for as little profit as possible so it basically a public service. /arg/ are literal furgay trannies who don't shoot and make fun of you if your rifle isn't KAC and cost over 4k usd.
They make fun of you no matter what.
Sensative homosexuals seethe about it, and make threads like this.
This. PSA Lower/Noveske Upper here.
KAC makes mediocre shit at best, hot garbage at worst. I'll never understand the gays jerking off over it. I guess they have a cool rollmark?
the only thing I like about KAC is their configuration for the receiver extension/castle nut/endplate setup.
I look forward to the day bufferless BCG's are cheap and commonplace in the ar15 market.

my $300 dollar AR builds are just as accurate with good ammo
its the Indian not the arrow
Post targets. Also that black Friday stainless bull barrel is likely more accurate than the CHF found in a KAK.

In an idea world, but that takes tools. A stripped lower can be assembled by a chimp with cerebral palsy.
Ah I thought you meant building as in machining. Too bad 80%s soon will be a dream of the past

Nope
Alright then
Yeah this is probably better

Nah, cosmetic blems are fine, because I'm going to make it look so much fricking worse after the first range trip.

Law or not, ATF is a homosexual administration and out right traitors. Ruger deserves to go under along with all the other companies who bent the knee. Frick the public trading sector bullcrap.
how come /misc/ is the only board you aren't allowed to mention?
he posted an image that wasn't from /misc/, why is it that /misc/ is always mentioned without it even being relevant?
God damn I guess don't buy any firearms anymore ig?
Print your own then, mid-wit. If you have to have a proper gun, buying part kits for stuff like the Ruger 10/22 from a third party doesn't give them a single penny.
>surefire
I like their lights
>l3
They're the Gucci of pvs14
>SA
I want a hellion because I liked the VHS before it was cool and they're the only way I can get it.
Everyone else is everyone else.
SA is a shit, but HS Produkt is cool.
Cool, and there are 100 other manufactures not on that list you can buy from. Or just get things second had so the primary company makes no money.
>Eotech
Godsammit.
>IWI
Even nogunz that live in America support Israel because of taxation.
That's why you buy IWI. Its already tax subsidized.
Are their AKs any good?
Not worth it over a WASR, we'll see if they unfrick their reputation in the future
Gen 3 is when they get decent. Avoid early model cast trunnion models.
Stick to anything gf3 and newer
PSAK GF3 are decent too
Beat $600 AK, easily
Also the only $600 AK
Cope
>buy cheapest possibly AR
>put a couple cheap accessories on it
>post it in /arg/ expecting hugbox 'gj man welcome to guns!' style replies
>get shit on for having zero impulse control and just buying the cheapest shit possible
>make a thread talking about how Thing makes Xgays seethe
I cringe every time I’ve entered it, I just filter it now because it became unbearable.
That's why we keep them around. /arg/ is free entertainment.
>spend all their money
did you know that some people make more than 40k a yr?
The kind of people who buy that stuff to brag about it on the internet are the exact kind of people maxing out 3 credit cards to afford said stuff.
>because my feelings demand it
i hate that website so god damn much
>implying you wouldn't do the same if your brand new gun came with a giant scratch on it
if it was a brand new gun and it was like that out of box and the company offered a warranty, of course i would
if i scratched it myself or it was used, i wouldnt give a shit because it doesnt affect the gun
i would keep using it until enough of the coating wore off/got scratched off and normal oiling wont keep rust away
they are tools, would you have a pocket knife refinished just because you dropped it and it got scuffed up a bit?
>if it was a brand new gun and it was like that out of box and the company offered a warranty, of course i would
and thats what he did, its why it was covered by glock's warranty.
But why do they need to fricking post about it. It's like facebook moms in 2010 updating their status every few minutes

Kek, looks like the guy got ripped to shreds. Got a link?
Thinking that having 5-10k spare income to blow on a rifle and accessories makes you a richgay is laughable.
There was a guy bragging about his 12k nods, absolute moronic homosexual.
I’m into racing cars, I have a shitty Miata which I’ve extensively modified and try to track it at least once a month, I’ve blown more on this bullshit in the last few years than you gun homosexuals will in a lifetime.
i spent 250k on a monkey jpeg last year
Post it
cant, i have an ens address with my name in the wallet i had it in so someone could dox me
>calls other people richgays just because they are showing off something they bought
>goes on to talk about how hes spent more money than them on his stupid car
Seething poorgay detected.
I never really understood that attitude either. Guns are dirt fricking cheap in the context of rich guy hobbies. Even stuff like rare NFA guns or high end H&H shotguns pale in comparison to the money getting dropped at any random car auction.
its a strange thing that literally only exists on gun forums, even in real life at the range nobody gives a frick what youre shooting lol
Unless you have cool shit. Then its your obligation to let other people have fun with it. Don't be the butthole kid who won't share the ball he brought. Remember when gun ownership was a community, not clout chasing?
Found the coping "more money than brains" Black person-rich gay
because you can get a rifle for $450 that is essentially just as good as their $1200 rifle
literally the only thing bad about PSA is its inconsistent on how much they oil the guns and not everything is torque down right or they have small scratches
if you just clean the gun and ensure everything is tight you are set, its like 20 minutes of work to save $500+
>this timeline PSA logo has a hook for some reason
What? Why?
because its bait
PSA KINGS I KNEEL
I just think their neat c:
Honestly I think their logo is the coolest out of all the gun makers.
They somehow avoided the flat pill that plagues not just other gun brands, but the majority of all modern brands.
It kinda has that old world vibe you'd see stamped on something made in the 1800s ngl
