>That tank, Type 99 is basically a T-72 with more ERA
No, it isn't.
It's a NATOfied T-72. It has amazing mobility compared to the T-72 and even has the NATO hump on the back.
This poster is in a dusty basement in Beijing full of ancient computer towers and monitors, seething like mad and sweating as a social credit officer paces a catwalk above him with a disapproving glare.
USA hasn't been involved in a full-scale conventional war since 1953 (war they lost, against China funny enough). Don't even bother bringing up iraq or vietnam, can't compare those two shitholes to an actual fighting force
>Korea >Lost
Lmao when? Hapanda, are you going to post the one battle the Chinese won when they swarmed over the border and not the millions that then got murdered? Know your place, slave race.
They lack institutional warfighting knowledge, so all they can do is to try and look tough
>MacArthur reportedly told Truman that he was confident of early success in the North Korean offensive, and that he no longer feared Chinese intervention. >Just 10 days later, the Chinese army, which had been secretly massing at the border, made its first attack on the allies. In the days that followed, the allies' headquarters received intelligence that Chinese forces were hidden in the North Korean mountains, but this was disregarded. >The Chinese troops withdrew, and the allies interpreted these initial skirmishes as simply defensive. Undeterred, General MacArthur ordered a bold offensive on 24 November to push right up to the Yalu River, which marked the border between North Korea and north-east China. >He optimistically hoped this would finish the war and allow the troops "home by Christmas". But it was instead to mark yet another turning point in the conflict. The next day, about 180,000 Chinese "volunteers" attacked. >A shocked MacArthur told Washington: "We face an entirely new war." >He ordered a long and humiliating retreat - performed in sub-zero temperatures - which took the troops below the 38th parallel by the end of December. >As Chinese troops unleashed a renewed offensive, the allies were forced to withdraw south of Seoul in January 1951. Here, in the relatively open terrain of South Korea, the UN troops were better able to defend themselves. >After a few more months of fighting, the front eventually stabilised in the area of the 38th parallel.
Imagine unironically calling a military operation "Home by Christmas Offensive":

Go fuck yourself, you may as well as be a bot.
The last 30 some years have been COIN, which is actively harmful to methods in actual warfare against a near peer rival. Though if any country on the planet has the capacity and capability to swiftly change their whole military doctrine it's the US.
Makes sense now. Compact form factor = more carrier aircrafts. From the looks of it, it could carry 2x the number of aircrafts as a conventional aircraft due to its wingspan. That would give them an advantage.
I'm pretty sure that is the QLU-11, which is from 2011. The QLU-11 is a really fucking dumb weapon, and even if its airburst functionality works exactly as advertised it'd still be worthless garbage. It's a high velocity grenade launcher that is supposed to be a light weight high velocity weapon for snipers, but it weighs more unloaded than the fucking QLZ-87, and also weighs more unloaded than an rpg-7 and 2 rockets.

Why do the Chinese have to look so damn cool?
Isn't that the hydroplane IFV they made? I'd love to see how that performs under combat conditions, I bet they've got like a 50% chance of sinking like a rock and drowning the whole crew.
The QLZ-87 and QLU-11 are different guns, the former is more for a machine gun role for suppressive fore since It can fire fully automatically whilst the latter is more for a DMR role since It's equipped with a scope with integrated laser range finder for launching grenades inside windows:
[...]
Perfect gun for dealing with defenders hiding inside buildings in Urban warfare when you want to keep the buildings intact for after the war

Perfect gun for dealing with defenders hiding inside buildings in Urban warfare when you want to keep the buildings intact for after the war
I said before in another Chinese military thread that a high precision explosive weapon that’s semi automatic could be good for sniping out bunkers, windows, or enemies on a mountainside for a rather cheap round
I wish I wasn’t to old to join the marines. I was a pog in the Army years ago. But I was born at the wrong time to storm the beaches of China, wade chest high in a sea of broken down defeated chink manlets, and impregnate as many petite Asian women as Genghis Khan. This is seriously depressing.
Those are all propaganda films. Of course you dress up, paint your props, and try to put on a good show. China literally does not put on videos of actual training; likely they don’t actually do training or it’s very underwhelming and would look embarrassing.
They accidentally showed a video with real training and everyone laughed at the rounds keyholing. To be fair, they were probably plastic projectiles. Still not a good look.
i could maybe argue that the smoke is supposed to represent some sort of incendiary? But i would be questioning why you wouldn't just lead with that and what the fuck requires you to burn it down afterwards
"During the meetings, all parties sought to make an agreement that would suspend open hostilities, arrange the release and repatriation of prisoners of war and establish a separation of forces."
"The Armistice Agreement created a Military Demarcation Line (MDL) at the last line of contact between the opposing forces. To separate combat forces, both sides withdrew two kilometers from the MDL to form a four kilometer wide Demilitarized Zone (DMZ), which runs 241 kilometers across the width of the Korean peninsula. Both sides were permitted access to their two-kilometer portion of the DMZ, but were prohibited from crossing the MDL without approval from the other side."

>Unsubstantiated claims just must be true because... Because I said so!
I know this can be accurately applied to Russia, but until China is involved in a fullscale war they have to be regarded as a different beast and given the benefit of the doubt.
This is what a lot of people don't understand about our sims and projections of future military performance against potential military adversaries. People rave about how "THE US MILITARY DID A SIM THAT SAID CHINA WOULD BEAT US!!" without looking at it critically and realizing those types of projections are done giving the enemy that benefit of the doubt and assuming everything they say about their capabilities is not only true but maybe even 10-30% better than expected. Which is what you should do, it's important to plan for the worst. But you have to keep in mind a lot of the specs the Chinese military has released for their weapons and equipment is wholly unverified anyone outside of China, their military personnel have literally zero fighting experience, and it is unlikely they'll be able to field equipment in the numbers adequate to stand against US equipment.
That's American mil sims
Chinese ones are heavily scripted, they had some international one once where some shit tier country like Sweden fucking smoked China because they did something different and the heathen Chinee don't know how to improvise

Well go drive around the province and bring me a million men and women. >we ran out of ammo and tanks? Well here's enough tooling, raw materials and slave labor to build a million new ones.
And while their tech might not be cutting edge, the major issue that we see with russia is a complete lack of electronic warfare, optics and guided missile stockpiles. China could at least mass produce those items, even though at a worse quality.

cool, which japanese anime did they plagiarise that design from?

Foldable wings because it's a fucking naval plane

Z-10ME

No anon its external so the pilot can unjam it with a long hook

fuck you the hiss was cool
Well, yeah, but that doesn't make it not retarded.
Do they really need all this gear just to shoot escaping Tibetans and Uyghurs?
Is it just me or does the front of that vehicle look like it's made out of cardboard?
A) they look faggy
b) They're playing dress up for propaganda imagery, to impress dummies
c) fuck off, pinko fanboy
Yeesh, the dynamic range on that camera is on par with the first 5MP camera phone. Probably exactly what it is too.
>chinese make tacticool traning video

Hmmmmm
I can't take the military of a nation that doesn't fight wars seriously.
not blooded every decade? pffft basically a show army for interal political use.
the Chinese military looks like a future sci-fi army
the us military is basically just a roving pack of trannies and darkies nowadays...
You think the God Emperor of the Chinese Empire can protect his people from the American orks?
By the holy light of the CCP, yes
Bro are you baiting or Chinese?
That's the point
They're only meant to look cool
Chinks are studying all of Russia's failures in Ukraine and hoping they won't make the same mistakes they did
I wager they would lose to a SEA military pretty easily if the latter got US and Western support
Imagine America, Japan, Korea, Australia and NATO sending military equipment to Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia or Malaysia
If Vietnam received all sorts of Western support against China it would literally be Russia-Ukraine but with Asians
Man that sounds way more kino then a Taiwan invasion
>Why do the Chinese have to look so damn cool?
Because that's all they have
Nobody looks cool getting bonked by a Pajeet with a stick, anon.
Thank you sirs
Because they build these things for propaganda so form matter more than function.
It looks goofy as shit.
The goofiest period of the PLA was late 90s / 2000s.
Those Chinese Power Rangers are very cute and fuckable
unironically looks like what a C&C zero hour FMV cutscene would have been
mental omega > ra2 > shit > generals
Their gear looks cheap and low quality
Looks like a Minecraft car. Do they fortnight dance
kek, it does look like those old school, low quality modded Minecraft vehicle models
The Chinese took a T-72, added a welded turret with NERA constraint cells and ERA.
Its not a game changer, still uses soviet style autoloader and fires localized versions of Russian munitions.
Are you suggesting the Chinese will run into the issue where one tank can move and the other one can shoot?
That shit looks like a Lego toy.
They don't have anything else going for them.
