Why do so many service rifles look like this nowadays? Did they just become aware of the SCAR like 20 years after it was invented? Why don't they just buy 416's are they stupid?

AR-18 chads please rise up
For what national anthem?
I HATE THE BOOT STOCK I HATE THE BOOT STOCK
NGL I hated it first but its grown on me .
cuz muh folding stock. and some of those rifles only exist to prop up domestic manufacturing. also, i don't think that seeming pile of shit called the psa jakl ever became a service rifle
>cuz muh folding stock
Honestly believable. I guess they want something that's 90% an AR-15 and want it small without it being a bullpup.
>i don't think that seeming pile of shit called the psa jakl ever became a service rifle
True, but it is trying to fill that exact niche.
>are they stupid
there's a lore reason for it
jokes aside, service rifles are simple enough that you can make them in your country and that's much cheaper given that they pay taxes to you, and better politically since more jobs in your country is good
that doesn't work on stuff like jets though
>aR15 iS sUpErIoR
>rest of the world
>lol,lamo
AR15's a pure cope, a cheap trash rifle for school shootings and hicks to believe that they're "minutemen" (with their cousin only) when any real police officer or soldiers would have them on their knees in seconds. Get a fucking reliable rifle, train past 300 yards of shooting accurately, and start walking 30 minutes everyday with a pack.
post timestamp and your "reliable" rifle.
Sorry, just got to work. But I'll make a list.
>X95
>C93 (HK33 clone)
>Mini-14
>Adams Arms 16" mid piston
this has to be satire. lol carry on
>X95
>a rifle built because the M4/M16 was so unreliable in desert conditions
>HK33
>roller delayed blowback, a system so reliable it's #2 for African spearchuckers to use
>Mini-14
>even more simple Garand action a system that was beloved for it's reliability and spawned dozens of relatives
>Adams Arms
>a LWRC engineer who virtually cornered the piston market
Yeah, AR15 fanbois are the midwits of the firearm community and you're the crowning example.
oh no, it's retarded
>a rifle built because the M4/M16 was so unreliable in desert conditions
Are you really going to pretend that much of the IDF doesnt still use the M4/M16? Cope harder. Shitty accuracy and shitty trigger, at least an AK does better with the latter.
>muh hk33
since when did your piece of shit century arms c93 turn into an hk33?
>mini 14
for hipsters that are scared of ar15 ownership
>adams arms piston
out of all the piston cope guns you chose one of the biggest commercial failures. piston is hilariously one of the best ways you can take an AR design and intentionally make it less reliable.
I like how you were boasting about reliability but the only things you own are plain memes and steaming piles of shit. And your arguments are just copium. Consider bleach for your next beverage you subhuman.
>it's retarded
>posts outright lies or misinformation
Yep midwit, keep going.
>whines about muh lies and muh misinformation
>can't point out said lies and misinformation
subhuman IQ at work. But please, go head and point out the facts you presented in the first place. Dipshit. Your guns are shit and your parents are shit for raising such a failure of a human being.
>noooo the Israeli-
A couple rear line units use M4's, all their armor and infantry companies use the X95 and micro Tavors.
>HK33
When did I say my C93 WAS a HK33? Uh never, THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT.
>mini 14 owners
Or like a out of the box rifle that doesn't need an extra 200-500$ to actually work.
>adams arms
Is still in business, unlike Colt. Adams Arms produces most of the drop in piston kits on the market, something that exists due to the unreliability of AR15's.
>reeeeeee
Cool, tell that to everybody who adopted the HK416.
>failure of a human being
>gets his jimmies rustled over his shitstick rifle
Lol, lamo.
>A couple rear line units use M4's,
LMFAO and you were the one saying that I was spreading misinformation. Is Flotilla 13 a rear line unit? Also, why are you pretending that the IDF are the only ones in the desert? Decades of the U.S. operating in the middle east mean nothing? You bought the israelite bullpup because you have shit taste, not because there is any evidence that it is preferred or said to be more reliable by military units.
>When did I say my C93 WAS a HK33? Uh never, THAT WAS THE WHOLE POINT.
see post 11/10/23(Fri)12:59:34 referring to your century arms turd as an HK33, dumb fuck. Your century arms is a piece of shit, and century arms has the most egregious cases of terrible quality control rivaling the likes of Olight. And I quote, "Get a fucking reliable rifle". You failed to listen to your own advice, you inbred dipshit.
>Or like a out of the box rifle that doesn't need an extra 200-500$ to actually work.
PSA has been pumping out AR15s that are cheaper than your mini 14 dung rifle, and are a better host for optics and whatever accessories. Not to mention that the aftermarket shits all over the mini 14. The mini 14 is just cope gun for ban states, and Bill Ruger himself was an AWB advocate so that he could boost sales of that rifle. Cucked rifle for a cuck like yourself.
>Is still in business, unlike Colt. Adams Arms produces most of the drop in piston kits on the market, something that exists due to the unreliability of AR15's.
Colt.com
>failure of a human being
>gets his jimmies rustled over his inferior gun collection
>gets his jimmies rustled over an ar15
insecure subhuman, stay insecure.
>Israel Navy
>frontline
I... I don't even know how to even draw you a picture of how fucking dumb you are.
>C93
>HK33 CLONE
At no time did I imply that it WAS a HK33 you sub-30 IQ cretin. If I did I would have outright SAID HK33 or even the HK93. Century didn't build the C93 you fucking retard, PTR did. Century imported the parts kits and then contracted PTR to build them retard, next you'll say that they built WASR-10/63's.
>PSA
>quality
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>Colt
Is now owned by CZ. If you don't understand what this means you retard you need to turn over your (nonexistent guns) to a responsible adult.
>n-no you're coping!
Keep going, this is getting screencap worthy.
what's wrong with cz
t. europoor who wants a colt le6920
Nothing, but the only thing that exists from Colt is the name and intellectual property. All the engineers, tooling, and projects are CZ supplied.
Where did you get this? Colt facilities are all up and almost nobody, not even most executives, were let go. Colt Canada is 98% the same people as well before and after acquisition. Stop making shit up, anon.
>Colt Canada
That was a completely separate fucking company you absolute moron.
Read what I wrote again. Both Colt and Colt Canada are CZ companies now, but neither of them lost any significant staff aside from executives.
>the executives were why the guns were bad!
Bruh.
Colt hasn't really done anything new or innovative in 30 years. All they had was their government contracts for M16/M4, and they don't even have that now. So all they can do is maybe make nostalgic ARs, 1911s, and bringing back their snake revolvers. CZ really doesn't have to do much with them. CZ also didn't mess with Dan Wesson when they bought it (aside from phasing out the revolvers). Colt Canada is another thing entirely.
The XM8 beat the M4 in the dust test, and by a wide margin. I'm going to guess that newer AR18-derived rifles have only become better.
Imagine repeating a verifiably flawed test as evidence against the M4.
The sub human monkeys conducting the test didnt know how to use the 3 round burst function and counted every user induced malfunction.
The early 2000s anti m4 sentiment was caused by the Army itself, both the famous flawed dust test and the bolt and barrel failures.
>sub human monkeys
Yes, we know it was an american test.
Got em.
>US Army infantry and Colt didn't know how their own rifle worked
WEW
Feel free to look it up nagger
but my PARTS COMPATIBILITYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Single gayest post i’ve ever seen on /k/
>Folding collapsible stock with cheek riser
>Monolithic upper rail for optics
>Superior front charging handle ergonomics
It's simply the optimum with the current level of tech. The stupid ones are those that cling to the AR15 layout.
no one ever mentions how the first half of the 20th century had all service rifles looking even more samey. they were all just long, brown sticks
this
the aesthetic bias of the fucking arquebus stuck around for what? 500 years?
God I want a matchlock now that I've been reading about pike and shot and the colonial wars. Anyone know someone that makes repros?
retard grunts think the AK is reliable because it has a piston,
so they asked for ARs with naggerrigged pistons. they're all a pound heavier just for the lolz.
>plastic fucking hinge
every single time. none of these are service grade if it breaks when i trip and fall on it.
but then again, it's not hard to bend an AR buffer at the castle nut, either.
so clearly we should just use bullpups, because the piston naggers will be satisfied and we can be foldy length 100% of the time.
civilians hate them because muh trigger muh ergos bla bla bla but they don't matter so who gives a fuck?
BEHOLD
THE BEST POSSIBLE RIFLE FOR THE 21st CENTURY
You think it was better during FAL/G3 times? That's just modern modular rifle design
>Why don't they just buy 416?
Why would they buy a gun that's worse than the SCAR
but the 416 doesn't melt or destroy optics?
Just have a good optic. The SCAR only breaks bad optics. Don't be a poorfag.
YO GUYS I CAME UP WITH A TOTALLY NEW GUN!!!!!
dubs for the name
ButtMuncher 8999
Because shitting out extrusions is cheap and the action has matured. FN doesn't pass those savings to it's customers, so others just make their own SCAR at home.
I kinda want an island chink upper. They seem pretty neat. Put an ace stock on it for some MGS looking thing.
Because the SCAR is a smart design that is worth copying. There are other factors though, the Bren can be considered parallel to the SCAR program, they first drafted the specifications in 2005 when the SCAR was still using SAW grips. Perhaps thats the very reason the Bren doesnt use AR grips, because the SCAR didnt at the time the homework was copied. Another factor is carcinization, if you were going to modernize an AR18, youd give it an extruded aluminum upper, a flat toprail, a plastic lower and adjustable stock. Those are just the obvious features you would give it, and there are only so many ways to skin a cat. As a result, the japs upgrading thier AR18s settled on a very SCAR resembling rifle; as did H&K when they modernized the G36 with the HK433. The MSBS isnt a SCAR copy, its a shameless and embarrassing masada/ACR copy; which isnt exactly the same thing.
Whats the most robust non ar platform in 5.56?
Probably the SCAR 16.
by robust you mean durable or common? if first probably sg550 or fnc followed by scar and hk416
and galil obviously, either gen. too bad its 47 copy instead of 46 if that makes sense tho, optics will lose zero
>it's just a good, solid rifle
