Why do people say full auto is useless when 2 guys were able to steal from a bank in 1997 with illegally modified full autos?
Why do people say full auto is useless when 2 guys were able to steal from a bank in 1997 with illegally modified full autos?
actually they were not not able to.
actually they were
They hit multiple before that one and were successful. One of them was a retarded egomaniac that decided to stay and duke it out with the cops instead of running immediately while laying down suppressive fire.
The other was too much of a cuck to just take off.
So if he didn't have his ego inflated by being in possession of a full auto ar, he would have been more successful.
Civilians are stupid monkeys incapable of bearing the responsibility.
>obvious bait is obvious
>full auto is useless
People only say this cope. Full auto is absolutely great for defensive warfare of any kind. Suppressive fire absolutely works. Full auto had to be banned for civilians because it would be too easy for a compound or town to just go rogue, and it would be far too expensive and deadly to disarm any such dissenters.
Full auto isn't banned for civilian use tho
Automatic weapons require training to use effectively, but even when wielded by two untrained retards on drugs they were able to lay down enough suppressive fire to survive about 20 minutes in a shootout where they were outnumbered about 50:1 by the end.
How long would the shootout have lasted if it was two guys with semi-autos vs 100 cops?
The Miami FBI shootout shows that there would probably be a lot of dead cops. The only reason the Miami shootout didn't end with those guys walking away with a street full of dead feds is those two bank robbers weren't wearing armor. That being said the full auto gunfire in North Hollywood didn't keep them alive. Body armor (in one case sternum to ankle and in the other torso and a rifle or other steel shock plate) kept them alive. That and LAPD and surrounding agencies not having anyone but SWAT or SEB with rifle caliber long guns. If the pair were just as proficient with long guns and tactical movement as they would be as trained with using full auto they would still have the advantage of a higher volume of fire than the police, an ability to punch through car bodies and NIJ level 2a, 2 and 3A rated armor, longer range, more energy on target, and greater precision. With fire and maneuver they would probably have gotten at least 20 patrolman WIA or KIA before SWAT showed up and put them in the dirt.
>illegally modified
SHALL
Cops still had revolvers, 9mms, and shotguns. There wasn't an AR in every patrol vehicle.
That was due to a previous california law (I think don't quote me on it) baring police from having AR's and other stuff.
In 1997 most cops weren't packing ARs in their patrol vehicles anon... SWAT and other teams definitely had them. Do you remember 1997? I do.
You mean the Assualt Weapons Ban of 1994 that expired in 2004?
No I could've sworn california passed something that said police can't have AR's and the sorts. I think im retarded tho so don't quote me on it.
I know some gun companies won't/didn't sell their guns to California law enforcement because of their gun control laws.
They didn't though. The cash delivery truck had yet to visit and they didn't even take the cash that was actually in the vault
1) both those retards bought it in the shootout they became famous (or infamous) for
2) they were the original impetus to have almost every police or sheriff's department to begin issuing and/or allowing their patrol officers to qualify and carry personal rifles on duty
3) they didn't even kill any police officers despite the volume of fire they laid down
4) they are the reason why every wannabe heist movie and scene is done by a heavily armed and armored heist crew in every form of media (vidya, Hollywood films, novels, and etc.)
5). Almost all Hollywood of other media depiction of knockoff hiest are fucking trash.
6) their robbery tactics they used were retarded. They got caught because they were too stupid to do the subtle approach. Tellers and bank managers are trained to cooperate with a holdup. Blasting the drop ceiling with automatic gunfire might as well been the retard signal in the night sky.
>Blasting the drop ceiling with automatic gunfire might as well been the retard signal in the night sky.
They got spotted by cops before that
They got spotted by a cop in his car as soon as they were entering the place.
Heat is a great film and I remember they used it to "study" for their eventual big heist. There are a lot of films that emulate the entire suited up gentleman criminal aesthetics from the ending heist. That's not the ones I'm talking about. I'm talking the borderline B movie schlock some studios puke out "based on a true story".
I forgot they got made by a patrol officer.
Oddly enough timing on the arrival for a Loomis, Garda, or Brinks truck isn't as important as people think. The window at most banks where the vault is open to pull federal reserve deposits or to receive from the federal reserve is fairly short. Some branches need to be notified about 10 minutes prior to an armored car arrival to have the manager deactivate a time lock. As well the major armored car companies are run by scumbag bean counters who squeeze as many stops in as possible on a daily run sheet. You might generally get a good idea of a window when an armored car might show up from Surveillance. Without an inside man to verify the service contract, route sheet for the truck that services that route, or a tail for the truck that doesn't get detected it's difficult to time a robbery for when an armored car crew would be there. That being said armored cars for Loomis and the other major companies are only 3A rated. I know for a fact Garda gives door keys to their messenger/hoppers. So you just drop the messnger and you've got a key to the door and more loot than you can carry. At Loomis the driver has to electronically unlock the truck doors to open them. Garda would be a lot easier to hit though. They pay lower, their drivers and messengers are lower quality, and their crews aren't required to wear armor. I worked at Loomis for a bit. Both are shit companies to work for.
Are the deliveries scheduled or random times?
The order for Loomis is on the route sheet. In theory you are supposed to follow the order in which you go to stops, but the drivers and messengers that work the route typically deviate from. The order because the proprietary routing software they use on the messenger PDA wants you to do dumb shit like try and make you cross 3 lanes of city traffic to go to a stop you are gonna drive by on the way back to the branch office. As well every Loomis customer has a service window of multiple hours in the contract. But then there are some that it is a much tighter window. It varies from contract to contract. In theory drivers and messengers are supposed to be on the look out for tails and suHispanicious activity, but on a lot of routes you barely have enough time to A to B the stops you have, a fuel stop to top of diesel, and heading back to the branch. The route I did was 12-14 hours most days just to hit every stop and go home. Luckily my route was mostly small towns and a couple of smaller cities.
Makes sense. I always seem to see them around when driving to certain areas.
I had a drinking buddy that worked for garda iirc. He said they would leave the money in truck fairly often instead of locking it up. Ive been planning my heist ever since. Ill wear a PrepHole patch and post the loot
Yeah. As shitty as Loomis was (supervisors and shift leads telling you to hurry up just to make their dispatch time stats look better, messengers and supervisors telling you to not turn in mechanical and vehicle safety issues to keep trucks with problems from eating into the branch maintenance budget, supervisors and shift leads encouraging that you break company policy to get done faster, operations managers arbitrarily enforcing rules based upon favoritism, branch managers going on witch hunts against employees they have beef with, corporate in Houston having zero tolerance of any event that gets forwarded to them by the third party safety review team of dash cam and crew compartment cam footage). The pay was okay but not for the workload and the level of responsibility you took on. Every truck no shit had to have at least a million dollars on it pretty much all day.
Even with all that Garda is worse. They will literally hire anyone who can pass background for an armed guard license and has a valid class D license. The guys they sent to the local security training academy most of the corporate contract security firms had trouble qualifying. I've never seen a guard for Garda who looked like they were paying attention. Loomis if you came up short on cash you weren't going home that night until you could figure out and balance your in and out balances. If money got left in the truck that is instant termination.
>they are the reason why every wannabe heist movie and scene is done by a heavily armed and armored heist crew in every form of media (vidya, Hollywood films, novels, and etc.)
This is actually the other way around, they watched heat (amazing movie) and thought they could dp it in real life
Random fact
>in the movie, the robbers tail the police patrols in the area of the robbery for a few weeks, so they can time out exactly how long it will take for the police to show up when the call goes out
>there's a line of dialog where they say "six minutes" or some shit like that
>robbers watch this movie and don't realize that the crew in the movie was carefully tracking the local police to get that number, so they just think that all police take six minutes to respond to a bank robbery
>they go in, thinking they'll be safe for six minutes
>actually, a cop was driving by as they went in and saw them walking into the bank with AKs and ski masks
>they're surrounded when they leave the bank a few minutes later
>North Hollywood shootout ensues
Ah yes tweedle dee and tweedle dumb escaped for about five seconds. Proceeding to absolutely kill not a single person, and then die themselves either via an heroing or simply getting their foot shot to shit, and then bleeding out.
Because they both ended up dying due to drug induced incompetency and only had an advantage thanks to cops not being armed with the same firepower as they were to level the playing field. I still want an xm15 dissipator though.
They died like gays, cops shot one with a borrowed hunting rifle, bolt action I think or maybe a semi auto AR-15?
The second guy killed himself with a ND because his pistol jammed and then he stared down the barrel to see what was wrong..BANG....fucking dead.
Literally giga tier retards.
They are /ourguys/
>makes AR-15 full auto like the founding fathers intended
>steals from garden gnomes
>made the 1994-2004 Assault Weapon ban look like shit and Calis gun laws
