It's the authorized summer dress uniform for all officers and SNCOs (unless they are in formation with NCOs and junior enlisted personnel who are not authorized to wear the uniform). NCOs and junior enlisted personnel can wear the uniform but only for ceremonies and social events only, if authorized and provided by the command structure (ex. Silent Drill Platoon, Washington Barracks, etc)

I had 1 dress uniform and they kept making me wear it even tho I did warehouse stuff and kept getting it dirty with truck grease, acid, and gunpowder. If your daily tasks include any sort of strenuous activity, why do higher ups always want me to wear a fricking suit regardless? No, I can't ask pvt. dipshit to load the trailer because he loads it wrong every time because he can't read and when he does it wrong it causes a spill and makes the driver pee himself and then the fire brigade is called and nobody can leave until it's fixed.

btw, frick navy ehs and frick all their rules about handling needles, baby wipe boxes are acceptable, entirely okay receptacles for them because the standard issue ones have weak lids that come off easily

Your suppose to alternate your uniform every other day. If you look too dirty you'll get b***hed at to change it. This sort of uniform is for officers trying to show off. There are cycles where instead of what you're doing you have to stand in formation and look the part. Other people are going to get dressed up and do honors and things at least try to wear a nice thing that day if you're not going to alternate it. I mean you got a pull over to get covered in that shit, you get lee way on facial hair during these sort of things.

The Air Force and Marine Corps are tied for "most conservative branch", followed closely by the Army. Data does not exist for the Space Force, but I imagine it's similar to the Air Force given it was under the Air Force in 2019 and most personnel are prior Airmen. The Navy is by far the most left leaning, and it's still primarily Republican, or at least was last time data was made available.

Don't listen to the hippies/the west has fallen types.

The US isn't in debt because of military spending you stupid jit. And no, fricking journalism rag headlines isn't facts.

the US is in debt because of social security and medicare, which are a waaaaaaay tougher thing to target than mil spending (which hilariously the right has started targeting as well to cut spending). however it's going to come to a head here in the near future and something's going to have to happen

In my 10 years active we had started with the green dress uniform. And it was pretty nice. Personally I don't like the look of the dress blue uniform because the pants were a slightly different shade of blue than the coat and it looked awkward as if you were wearing a mismatched suit. So I simply didn't buy them and would be getting out before the change was mandatory.

One of the other big things was that nobody alive could remember when the Army wore blue and it really didn't feel distinctive for the service. The pink and green WW2 throwback uniform had a much better look to it with more complimentary colors and an overall nicer cut to the suit at least in my opinion.

I don't wear anything that interferes with my safety vest and if someone disagrees I immediately argue about it until I win because I wrote the safety plan that I'm always right. This is the beneift of declining certain promotions to consolidate real exercisable power. I also get to choose my own cubicle and can use any bathroom I want.
