Kinda true, but kinda not true.

The SU-27 is more of a family of planes that includes the SU-30/33/34/35 and the J-11 is the Chinese version. Including ALL versions you're well over 1200 airframes.

That being said, it's 1200 since the mid 1980s vs the F-35s ~850 since 2007.

I want her to have my mutant human/5th gen multirole fighter babies. Frick, the fricking 121st Fighter Squadron caught me with their F-16. I'd dressed it in radar absorbing material and went to fricking town. They've set up pictures of me at every single checkpoint and I'm worried they're gonna shoot me if I try to get in again. I might not ever get to see F-35s again.

Its unofficial nickname is Panther, also I've only heard it called fat amy in sim communities, was it ever actually used by pilots?

F-35 has no nickname. No, it's not called Panther. There's a single squadron that started calling themselves Panthers when they started training on F-35s, that's all. It's not applied to the plane.

No, they called the plane the Panther, and it's 6th Weapons Squadron, which is an elite training school squadron.

          Compared to X-32 it's slim.

how many f-35s are in europe right now?

hard to say cause the US has some stationed there. If you mean European-owned and operated F-35s, then I think you're looking at ~20-25 for Italy, ~28-35 for the Netherlands, another ~25 in Norway, and ~23 in the UK.

      So right around 100-110.

tell me about the f-35s EOTS.
remember reading that it's supposed to be on another level compared to what other similar role aircraft are rocking when it comes to ground attack and awareness.

it's currently more or less the same hardware as SNIPER XR but they're planning a refresh with block 4

Seething over the F-16 and F-18 only stopped when the F-35 went into service.
Seething over the F-14 continued after it was retired.
There was seething over the F-4 and the F-100.
Seething is inevitable, especially if there are people subverted into buying the "plane is too complicated, a real army fight with rusty rifles, flip-flops and nothing else" bullshit.

I predict the seething will never end. It probably want seen any blue on red action until well after we have 6th gen planes airbourne and by then no one will ever really be able to say whetjer it was worth it or not. This will be the ultimate untestable deterrent because we were so quick to be first and got on the production so quickly that its never gonna be possible for anyone to catch up (I'll believe chinese 5th gen production when I see it). Jesus we have multiple allies that have more of these in operation than the Russians (who were seen as the clear rival going into this gen) have ever even built of theirs, not even factoring in that they have only like 3-5 capable of flight.

It's one of two true 5th Gen fighters in active use and production, everything else on the market is either a glorified 4.5 or doesn't actually exist in any production capacity.

J-20 is probably inferior but no one besides the chinks really knows by how much. I get that the vatniks are a joke, but let's not be foolishly over confident.

Fair to say they haven't got all the retrofits done by now but the frames rolling off the line have the "final" plant assuredly by this point.

How stealthy is the J-20 airframe expected to be? Something like Eurofighter? It's got fricking canards.

Ignore anypne who tells you different than this: There is no public intel to go off of. They haven't fought anyone, it hasn't been sold to anyone, and we have barely seen it in flight outside of state TV.

          2 bits we do know:
One of the big wigs in the USAF said just like a year ago that they had seen some J-20s run patrols against some f-35s and he used words like "some impressive" and "respectable." This was to a known reporter and not under request of anonymity so take this for what you will.
Chinese (read: suspect) military analysts say its nearly west-tier during straight-on approach but markedly inferior (unclear to what degree) from any other angles. How wide a cone that front-on is is not defined.

Gonna enjoy shooting those chink c**ts down

2025 or 2029 is my bet. If it goes past that or Xi dies suddenly then all bets are off that we ever fight them. Maybe we'll see it in like 2090 when N.Korea is flying them when we add in the reunification.

I really just wanna up-arm Japan and release them on the chinks. And get the Aussies their subs so they can shitpost all over the South China Sea. Nothing would make me happier than not having to fight them but equipping the people they have wronged closer to home to take care of it themselves. Biggest smile of my life thinking about it.

In the context it was specifically commenting on the command structure of the PLAA. Essentially saying they have an established, competent chain of command and the pilots they were seeing were being very professional regarding keeping appropriate diplomatic distance between US and Chinese forces.

Nothing to do with the capabilities of the J-20 itself.
