        nta
To be fair, it doesn't mention a helicopter in the text (strangely the pilot is though).
But the picture should definitely give it away.

Russians use prison lingo to hide from the fsb
Dried means the friendly fire and artillery keeps getting erased from records to prevent moral loss
Only probably is if it's not on record they can't learn from the mistake and it keeps happening

Ukrainians keep hacking Russian radios and gps causing Russians to blow up Russians lately. It's just gotten worse. They are shutting down little cities all over Russia for hours at a time this week.

Of all the russian aviation ephemisms for "F and RIP in peace #yoloswag" this has to be the worst. It's not even TRYING to be poetic.

It's been known for a bit that they use these things to search for Ukrainian USVs, guys. Ka-27s have radars so they can pick them out (as they aren't true underwater drones, their roofs kinda poke out of the water) and sonobuoys as well.

Could also be a search and rescue variant.

it's a trope as old as combat aviation

So is Russian just this weirdly allegorical, metaphorical language? Is this how these frickers really talk to each other every day? Or is it to evade censors or some shit?
    >Its le machine translation
I cannot believe this, translation software doesn't work like that.

WTF is this dogshit translation? I don't even understand what they're saying, It's like I'm reading a fairy tail written by a down syndrome elementary schooler.

Russians use a shitload of slang, idioms, and references in casual speech. This is both a cultural thing and partially to evade censorship by making the meaning of what they're saying somewhat ambiguous.
Some of it isn't hard to understand but some of the slang is lost on me. Like idk what "currents" or "dried" means.
Translation errors are common. Like when you see "dills" or "crests" this is a literal translation of Russian slurs for Ukrainians (ukrop/hohol).
