Which one is the best tactical knee pads?

Choose your favorite type of tactical knee pads.
Try to take these categories in consideration:

>Durability
>Confort
>Mobility
>Easiness/quickness to equip them on emergency situations

I really like the black one on the left, the shell type because it has that classic look and it's very durable.
But the middle one has more mobility because allows for the knee to move and bend with more freedom.

Crye knee pads are comfy(on the far right). But the only problems is that its a pain to insert into the pad slots everytime.

They look really fragile compared to the other two. I've never used Crye knee pads so I could be wrong.

        >fragile
I thought the same before putting them on my crye army customs. They are comfy and sturdy for what it is. The only catch is that you have to have built in slots to wear them.

crye and then arcteryx. I have such an issue with kneepads not staying on my knees properly. The only kneepads I've ever work that never did that were the skate ones I used to wear when I still skated, and it's because those ones had you insert your leg through a leg warmer/sock-like stretch fabric then you put on the top and bottom straps

Using a knee pad may save me from being kneecaped by a ricocheting projectile or a shrapnel?

No. They only make tactical blowjobs slightly more tolerable

The only time I've ever been hit by a ricochet it was a shotgun pellet. Not sure what load the guy was shooting but it definitely felt at least #4 or 00. He was shooting steel pretty close so maybe it was a slug that exploded and a piece hit me. It hit with enough that I was like wtf ouch, but didn't penetrate my shirt or break skin. Felt like someone taking a rubber band and snapping it on my shoulder.

Against something with low energy like that yeah it'll protect you, and most ricochets usually come back with pretty low energy but they can come back with enough force to kill which it won't protect against. Only slightly increases your odds. Please let your fear drive you to make the first level II or IIIa knee pads, I'll buy them. I literally have side plates in my drop leg modules. Always wear your armor to the range if you have it btw, most shooters do dumb shit.

It's so you don't go knee-first onto a rock or stick and be crippled for the 10 mile ruck back home when you have to dropshot someone.

The best kneepad design ever. Low profile enough you can wear them all day without sweating, but perfect protection for kneeling on rocks or concrete. Very glad I got them before the war made them unobtainable.

I just did a bunch of autistic research on knee pads before ordering mine. There's various knee pads for different sports and professions. The cheapest are going to be your construction knee pads and some of them are actually the best in terms of coverage because they're seen as safety devices too. The most coverage by far is going to be your hockey type shin guard ones but those are excessive for tactical needs. The least likely to fall down (this is a huge concern when running and gunning with them) are the tube types and pants inserts (these seem to be the new tacticool meta). Obviously something inside your pant leg can't fall down but these have a con as well of needing to wear that special pair of pants, and obviously they'll wear holes eventually each time you take a knee.

The strap types offer better heat mitigation than the tube types, but can slide down if not worn tightly enough which can be uncomfortable. The top strap being comfy elastic helps here a lot. These can be worn with any pair of pants and protect the pants, and offer hard protection rather than the pants insert's soft protection. The Arcteryx style seem to offer the best heat mitigation as they're super minimalist, but they're fucking $70 for a knee pad. I went with Chinese knockoffs of them from Emersongear for $40 ($32 on sale). They have an upgraded version for $40 and a basic version for $20. Quite frankly the difference isn't even described in the ads so I'll have to do a review on them when I get them. They're probably the same thing, $20 for buying knee pads direct from China is actually steep as it is so go with the cheap one if you like the color.

Also thought picrel (Sellstrom although these are likely rebranded Chinese bulk buys) were neat as shit if you want full coverage, they look like part of a suit of armor. I wanted less coverage for better airflow though.

Also glance over the reviews for any options, the first ones in OP pic are said to fall apart very easily. The screws holding the cover to the fabric reportedly comes loose. You'd think you could wear any skateboard knee pads so long as they hold up so don't overthink it.

        These are their cheaper version:
        https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2255801076084233.html

        And "upgraded" version:
        https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256803621737435.html

Aliexpress is a joke to use so the prices might change, the upgraded ones are now $43 on my end. They also might never even ship it. The same seller has them listed on Ebay for like $2 more so that's another option. Keep in mind I don't actually have these, they're still shipping and should be here in 2 MORE WEEKS. So they night be absolute trash quality. These are knockoffs, understand that, they're not going to perform or be as comfortable as the Arcteryx ones. I have received some Aliexpress mag pouches that get great reviews and they were of a low quality level I haven't seen before, too small and super thin nylon. They run the factories and make this stuff from scratch as cheaply as humanly possible. So if the padding ends up being cardboard don't say I didn't warn you. The Chinese are unimaginably cheap and scammy, and this stuff is intended for airsoft kids whose lives don't depend on their gear and that don't have the money fir better gear.

Has anyone tried sewing the crye ones in? Would think that would fix the shifting issue. Seems like the way to go but I have no exp with them so

The main problem is that you need to take them off for laundry .

I can tell you've never worn the middle one OP. It's too pointy. Tolerable in gravel but it negates the use of the kneepad on hard surfaces.
