I prefer Isosceles because it keeps the knees bent and your size is smaller. Good to keep moving and to not get shot by obviously being a tinier target
who are you quoting
hispanics are only 4 percent (45.6%) more obese than non-hispanic whites (41.4%)
they also aren't anywhere near 50% of the population
america isn't the most obese country on earth
you are silly and also probably obese
Pistols should be used one handed.
Around cover one handed stance has much less presented area and much less tension to lean out and shoot.
In the open one hand stance allows to move perpendicularly to the firing line and shoot back.
Two hand is for shooting at unarmed targets
One hand is for two way range.
>Pistols should be used one handed.
In that case, what would be the optimal one handed shooting stance/technique? I have tried point shooting and a few other methods of one handed shooting, but I am not as good as two handed.
>what would be the optimal one handed shooting stance/technique?
whatever the situation requires. learn to shoot with left, right, and both hands, standing, kneeling, moving. It also depends on caliber, recoil of the gun, arm/hand strength, experience and situation (emergency home defense, friendly competition, serious competition, should you really use/need a rifle instead of a pistol?). You are supposed to analyze your situation, chose the proper gun, ammo, and practice so you are ready for your anticipated situation(s).
I prefer patented secret pretzel one and a half hand stance >Left hand goes under left hand and grabs right shoulder >Right hand elbow locks the joint while lying on left hands elbow
It all biomechnically locks your arms into rigid structure, looks weird but allows for acuracy similar to shooting from bench
Only theoretical downside is that you have to aim using your entire upper body since its very rigid (like these cheat shooting jackets wrn by olympic shooters) , and it does not allow for flashy tacticool moves or even rapid reloading.
But for precision shooting its great.
I am dead serious, try it out.
Weaver feels natural to me. I tried to do isosceles for years because I drank the Koolaid but I can't tell any appreciable difference in accuracy or speed with it.
the only reason Weaver didn't do isosceles, according to the guy himself, is that his shoulders were fucked up and thats as far as he could hold the gun out. The semi-bladed stance was because one shoulder was worse than the other and couldn't extend as far.
It's like moto gp guys doing the leg dangle for no other reason than Rossi did it. You guys are just repeating bullshit without actually doing any thinking.
lads, where the fuck is my god damn pumpkin puree. i want to get this pumpkin bread in the oven before making this pizza and the baking steel needs to warm up for at least an hour. hurry the fuck up
I have shot weaver for years and immediately improved my ability to fire accurate shots quickly by trying isoceles. I don't care what I look like if I can make fast, accurate hits.
its used for tight areas or crowds where you can't stretch out and the distance to targets is close. Unironically, the John Wick club scene shows it well as he pushes out to an isosceles stance where he can.
>If the bad guy isn't going to punch me in the face, then my stance ensures the slide will. Chicks love scars but hate dead guys, so make sure you visibly injure yourself but not enough to die.
weaver, but im also kidnda weird I guess since I keep my offhand arm slightly more rigid than my shooting hand arm.
The curse of the lefty who cant shoot for shit lefty I guess
Why the fuck are you retards under the impression you can’t bend your knees while shooting weaver? You’re feet are basically in the same position as a boxers and you’d never have a retard saying they’re not mobile enough.
Paul is a stupid old fucking gay boomer from Washington/Oregon that allowed leftists to pass AWB bills and other stuff because he avoids politics. News flash, they're coming for you, for all of us. Use the same tactics these other people do, get the ADA involved and other orgs. People like to shit on channels like MrGnG but at least he makes it a point to support the 2A.
Weaver / chapman, no question >doesn't leave anus for the taking >doesn't give attacker literally the largest surface area to shoot at (granted, by a small margin) >potential need to move us taken into acount, resembles someone mid-run and is this more natural to transition in and out of
>weaver is better for moving >competition shooting champions, the people who are most strongly incentivized to shoot and move as fast as possible, use iso
>Find weaver more natural >Shoot better with isoceles
I'm still trying to figure out why. Maybe I'm letting my form be sloppy in weaver, but because I find isoscles less natural I'm more deliberate about proper stance.
Weaver, because I don't wear plated as a civvy/hunter. >inb4 center of gravity/locking out/some other hocus pocus
I'm a human and weaver, as with most bladed or semi bladed stances, is much more natural.
I leave it to Weaver >profession: weaver >favorite bird: weaver >favorite rail: weaver >favorite stance: weaver >favorite scope: weaver >sons name: weaver >favorite celeb: sigourney weaver >favorite foundation: weaver foundation >favorite city: weaver alabama >E V E R Y T H I N G I S W E A V E R
... >that pic.
I guess I'm in the wrong time period. I use a 1911 as well.
Have an Air Jeep with a recoilless cannon that the us denied ever mounting on it.
Isoscringe is fucking retarded. Where compare the two and ask yourself which one looks like an atheletic stance and which one looks like you’re squatting to take a shit.
Even a child knows isosceles user would basically be knocked to their asses. Only thing preventing not doing so, is the stupid lean forwards but they still do the rocking motion. Literal woman stance.
Personally I default to weaver but recently I've taken to practicing firing one handed on both sides
Weaver just feels funny to me
I don't take any stance that makes me look like I'm shitting my pants while also making me a bigger target.
Your mom's pussy feels funny to me too
I prefer Isosceles because it keeps the knees bent and your size is smaller. Good to keep moving and to not get shot by obviously being a tinier target
Weaver:
>Comfortable
>legs positioned naturally to move forward or backward easily
>Looks tacticool
Isosceles:
>uncomfortable
>awkward if you need to walk forward or backward
>Looks like you're trying to take a shit
Please tell me this isn't a typical American physique.
No it isn't, she's too skinny
>t. architect
Uh that’s the best physique for a woman.
>Uh that’s the best physique for a woman.
>American physique.
Dobson please
no they're usually fatter
these are your tacticool freedumb fighters
>nearly 50% Mexican by 2030
>most obese country on earth
Dumbass.

>Pistols should be used one handed
>hits nothing beyond ten yards
>hit
NTA but unless the sights or crown are fucked it’s a trivial matter to hit at 25m
Getting a good group one hand is hard but I’m working on it
Weaver, the isosceles is too awkward and unbalanced for me
Fuck that shit, give me the old side-stance (a.k.a. duelist stance).
weaver is gay, simple as
Chadman stance
bottom right guy doesn't look too isosceles. rather obtuse if you ask me.
Guy on the top right might have actually killed a man but I can't quite remember
Center axis relock
Realistically you probably ought not be engaging targets at 50+ yards with a handgun
Eastern front memoir where a penal battalion CO’s STV jams so he pulls out a his gun and downs a guy 100m away
Also Hickok‘s gongs are 100m
So 100m is what a pro can do with an accurate
Weaver for handguns.
Isosceles for long guns.
Iso aggrevates my sciolosis so I shoot wraver, but I don't really think one is better than the other.
I prefer patented secret pretzel one and a half hand stance
>Left hand goes under left hand and grabs right shoulder

t. octopus

the perfect way to shoot a rifle.
whatever stance gets the muzzle towards the threat the fastest, idgaf if I look like a clown or not, game of milliseconds
One hand power point with max blading and Chapman if two are needed
Weaver feels natural to me. I tried to do isosceles for years because I drank the Koolaid but I can't tell any appreciable difference in accuracy or speed with it.

To be fair, "Rossi does it" is a pretty valid argument.
>which do you prefer?
I only shoot handguns single handed, even 44Mags. Sorry not sorry. Learn to shoot.
Weaver feels more natural because of the staggered stance, but the squared stance of iso has obvious benefits if you're using body armor
i square up with my enemy like a man. i don't feel the need to angle my body like an absolute pussy.
lads, where the fuck is my god damn pumpkin puree. i want to get this pumpkin bread in the oven before making this pizza and the baking steel needs to warm up for at least an hour. hurry the fuck up
the loafs are in the oven. 40 minutes to go.
Weaver is the only correct answer
weaver for me
I have shot weaver for years and immediately improved my ability to fire accurate shots quickly by trying isoceles. I don't care what I look like if I can make fast, accurate hits.
Imagine training to use some stiff ass, unnatural stance that has zero applications outside of a flat range
Wow, very nice. Now let's see a target more than 5 yards away
its used for tight areas or crowds where you can't stretch out and the distance to targets is close. Unironically, the John Wick club scene shows it well as he pushes out to an isosceles stance where he can.
>If the bad guy isn't going to punch me in the face, then my stance ensures the slide will. Chicks love scars but hate dead guys, so make sure you visibly injure yourself but not enough to die.
how do they look?
60% RDX just like the French Resistance, I presume?
>60% RDX just like the French Resistance, I presume?
and 40% betrayal, just like the French Resistance
weaver, but im also kidnda weird I guess since I keep my offhand arm slightly more rigid than my shooting hand arm.
The curse of the lefty who cant shoot for shit lefty I guess
Try to transition between two targets more than 60° apart and you'll instantly understand why weaver sucks ass.
Mobility issues are solved by bent knees, and a "larger target" is solved by armor or cover. If you wanna be fast and accurate, shoot ISO
Why the fuck are you retards under the impression you can’t bend your knees while shooting weaver? You’re feet are basically in the same position as a boxers and you’d never have a retard saying they’re not mobile enough.
the part thats stupid about weaver is locking your arm
Pulling your shoulders tight holds your arms steady but it doesn’t lock them.
See: https://youtu.be/lCRE3QeHZgc
ok cool. paul is a decent shot but all of his training is just 80s army training. everything he teaches is just basic rifleman shit.
Not an argument
Paul is a stupid old fucking gay boomer from Washington/Oregon that allowed leftists to pass AWB bills and other stuff because he avoids politics. News flash, they're coming for you, for all of us. Autistic post, anon!
thanks now they think im you
It's okay, you lost

Isosceles is so fucking awkward and unathletic feeling.
Blade. Fight like your forefathers.
point right foot in direction of gun, and lean head slightly forward, and that's how I shoot.
...
>that pic.
I guess I'm in the wrong time period. I use a 1911 as well.
Have an Air Jeep with a recoilless cannon that the us denied ever mounting on it.
And they say perfection is impossible.
>bullseye shooting stance with a semi-auto pistol
>gets shot through the side
>rips through multiple organs
>dies
We have this thing now called body armor gramps.
And you wear body armor in your everyday life I take it? Most people here are going to benefit from presenting as little target as possible.
I'm not rocking side plates at the mall, fren.
its fine but iso is better. if you disagree you're a neo-fudd who doesn't shoot.
Isoscringe is fucking retarded. Where compare the two and ask yourself which one looks like an atheletic stance and which one looks like you’re squatting to take a shit.
>without armor and accuracy
Weaver.
>armor and speed
Iso.
Duelling stance chads rise up
I've shot more rifles than i have shot pistols, but whenever i had a pistol i naturally gravitate to weaver.
Weaver just feels right.
I have to consciously force myself to stand any other way. Not worth the effort.
Left shoulder is fucked and I can't get my left arm up enough for isoceles so Weaver it is.
>In ten years nobody will remember the details of caliber, stance, or tactics. They will only remember who lived and who didn’t.
But for me, isosceles just feels too stiff and inorganic. Weaver is just the shape my body flows into when aiming and it feels right.
Imagine thinking anything other than the squat shot is the correct way to shoot.
I dropshot, it's easier than pressing squat for me.
Every weapon has a kickback.
Even a child knows isosceles user would basically be knocked to their asses. Only thing preventing not doing so, is the stupid lean forwards but they still do the rocking motion. Literal woman stance.
