I have two somewhat 'collectible' pieces of early GWOT gear which I would like to sell to someone who would appreciate it for its value and significance from the time period.
It's a Diamondback Tactical low vis chest rig in Ranger Green and an Eagle RRV with back panel and pouches. I got both of those items in trades with Americans while on exercises when I was in the Australian Army and I don't want them taking up space in the house.
I live in Australia and there's no gear scene here so no one will buy it, and if I list it on Australian Ebay no one in the US will see it.
Where would be a good place to even look for buyers? Instagram? Does somebody have a list of IG pages which might want my items?
its going to be ridiculously expensive to ship from australia to anyone in the US or europe that would be interested in buying this gear from you. your best bet is to browse some gear swap reddit pages honestly
> which I would like to sell to someone who would appreciate it for its value
The value is exactly 0. Give it to your local homeless shelter. No one buys deteriorated, 20 year old nylon for larping purposes and collecting is usually done with pieces in mint condition. Shipping from AUS makes this an even tougher sale.
Your best bet, and I mean this, is actually Japan. They have a small scene of magazines that put women into such clothing. They buy extremely expensive gear in the US, often for a single shoot. If you get the right guy you might look at a fair price.
>No one buys deteriorated, 20 year old nylon for larping purposes
Just list it internationally. I've bought gear from Australia before, it comes up my ebay searches as long as the seller lists a shipping method to the US. While Diamondback is essentially Tyr, the gear isn't that popular on ebay because its before most zoomer airsofters time and the guys who put FAPCs and racks on a pedestal already own them; so don't be surprised if it doesn't sell. The RRV on the other hand is a guaranteed sale (within reason), since they've become a bit of a throwback instagram meme in the last few years, especially with the relatively scarce back panels.
I'm interested
Eh, nobody cares about war anymore it's all a corporate clusterfrick.
eGay
What color is the RRV, which pouches come with it, and how much do you want for it? I am interested.
there are facebook groups with 10's of thousands of members that buy this type of stuff.
please let me know what they are
I will post pictures when I get it out of storage. I also have a chicom rig taken from a dead afghan militiaman but it's literally just a chicom rig painted white so I can't prove its origins
Sounds good. I have absolutely no idea how to facilitate the transaction
here's the RRV
Is that imtv ?
here's the Diamondback rig
I'm in Aus at the moment and am interested in buying, post on ebay maybe?
I can assure you australia has a gear scene of some description, though I dont know much about it beyond seeing guys on instagram playing gel ball airsoft in full larp.
Diamondback Tactical low vis chest rig
>USGI TAP panel with OG bungee holders instead of velcro
an Eagle RRV
>USGI Aircrew PSGC Survival Vest
the problem is less so if theres interest, more so the US military basically copied those
an airsofter is just gonna buy cheaper surplus
>an airsofter is just gonna buy cheaper surplus
"No"
I have seen airsoft LARPers with legitimate Maska helmets in Europe, those cost close to €1000 no matter the condition
yeah, airsofters literally walk around in head to toe Mayflower/velocity systems
but if you need New specific kit just for a milsim game SOP rules you usually cheap out
a ranger green TAP panel and a coyote aircav FLC aint exactly a gucci desert tiger stripe type 56 chestrig made by tactical tailor
OPs kit basically in the same category as like a blackhawk LBV88
the only way to sling that next to cheap USGI flcs and chestrigs is do like they do with British surplus ratty PLCE rigs and lie and say it was "formally owned by an SAS officer"

No, there's a niche market for Diamondback gear just like there is for Paraclete
