Someday you might even graduate to owning your own gun!

Dont worry about trying to keep up with the other people on your squad at first. Just focus on not DQing and hitting all of the targets for your first fews matches and you will have a good time. Also suggest starting in limited minor so you can fully load your magazines and need less gear to start with.
if you are shooting limited minor you should be fine with your gun, 3 mags / pouches and a holster to start out with and get your feet wet until you decide if you enjoy it or not
