Where can I buy a non-pozzed version of this?
>go to garage, vent 1 gallon fuel container, sprays half its content on the ceiling
>go to metal jerry can, the entire plastic nozzle cracked from overpressure.
I spent more time cleaning up the spilled gasoline than I did mowing my lawn.
Move from California to Texas
Problem solved.
does texas not abide by federal rules?
>he doesnt horde fuel
okay
Fuel goes bad as in pump gas the part that burns is volatile, and leaves.
>he fell for the fuel goes bad, goy meme
yes, just don't hoard fuel and be dependent on your gnomish overlords hiking fuel prices every week
Redpill me on fuel not going bad then
It does indeed go bad and that's why advice on a non-specialty joke board like PrepHole can be dangerous.
Hoarding is not a price buffer, it's an emergency obtainability buffer. That's why my 150 gallon new takeoff aluminum 18-wheeler tank sits empty. If another serious hurricane is inbound I'll fill it early and be covered. If not it can wait as my trucks and yard supply of six GI plastic cans are ample.
Funnels make life easy. I welded a couple of funnel holder stands to make filling small gas cans from large easier as I'm quite lazy.
In a full metal can it doesnt go bad
I keep 60 gallons diesel 10 kerosene and 40 gasoline I fill up cars with what I have stored and fill up the Jerry cans as I go, rotating supply. The kerosene for heaters should be g2g.
Yeah it’s fucking 50 state. I just take the nozzle off at this point and go straight into the funnel while spilling ~10% of the first 2 gallons of a 5gal can.
Amazon will sell you an assortment for like <$20.
Fucking ridiculous that nobody has found a good solution to this. Best I have found are certain models with a thumb button but they’re still real awkward to use on a full can.
Why do you give 5 shits about something you shouldn't store longer than 5-12 months?
>go to metal jerry can, the entire plastic nozzle
>metal jerry can
>plastic nozzle
>plastic
Very intelligent government mandate. To protect against gas fumes escaping into the atmosphere make it so every single nozzle on gascans has moving parts that fall apart in a week and require you to spill gas straight on the ground or take the nozzle off and spill gas straight on the ground. Thanks Abe Lincoln
pic related works perfectly once you break off all the stupid safety locks and crap. then you pick up the can, aim it at the receiving thing, and squeeze the trigger to easily go from a controlled trickle to wide open.
Why the fuck this one isn't widely available is beyond me. I recently needed a can so I bought one at walmart without doing due diligence, and boy did I pay. That fucking piece of shit has to be pressed down with a lot of force on the spout to release the gas, which works ok when filling a car but is impossible to put some into another container.
>has to be pressed down with a lot of force
Here is the piece of shit. That black thing on the side has to be pressed with about 10 pounds of force to open the valve. Axial force, not a squeeze, meaning it's impossible to fill a lightweight container like a cup or something if you need a bit of gas for whatever.
>fill a lightweight container like a cup or something if you need a bit of gas for whatever.
wtf would you want a cup of gasoline for? soak a rag in it and hold it over your nose and mouth?
For cleaning tools and things like auto parts you fucking chode. Learn to do something with your hands other than jacking off non stop like a retard and in turn you will do something with your mind.
ez pour has worked great for me for many years
those are garbage and spill worse than anything.
learn to use a gas can
no fuck you, those nozzles hold almost a cup of fuel. it requires being super careful not to spill, they are opaque so you cannot see the fuel flow.
older nozzles were smaller, and held a smaller amount of fuel. they were translucent so you could see the fuel and tell when it was fully out of the nozzle. those replacement nozzles are garbage.
Do yourself a favor

>it appears my superiority has led to some controversy
Worth every penny.
I have one of these. Never spill a drop. They require a funnel for any capless cars though (fords after 2010 are an example).
This is what you're looking for, direct pour etc
Flo fast is 10x better
oh my god I didn't realize this board was so full of clumsy boomers
fucking never had issues with the regulation gas can nozzles, and I never will because I know how to use my fucking hands
You haven’t used very many gas cans then.
Some of them require 3 fucking hands, especially when you get to the 5gal cans that you can’t tip easily with one hand. Or you need one hand on the nozzle, and the brittle ass plastic will snap off as you’re trying to twist some retarded safety thing and guide the 5gal can into whatever you’re filling up.
If you came from using regular cans you'd see why the law they made is retarded. There are some OK designs though so you may have just gotten a decent one.
Get a SureCan
this is the way
i even have their water version for camping
I got a metal can, eagle brand. It's very simple, you lift up the handle and pour. It has a removable funnel designed such that you can leave it attached and still close the lid.
It's only a little difficult to fill since there's a screen under the lid and you can't fit a gas pump in very far, but I got 2 and only have to fill them like once every 6 months.
these are the best cans. I have 3 that I store ethanol free gas in, for up to 3 years. for power outages.
Can confirm Eagle cans with their simple detachable funnel are great.
It would probably be difficult to use for an automotive application; the geometry probably wouldn't work well to fill a car's tank, but it's great for other engines.
I use the 2 gallon version myself for my lawnmower and snowthrower.
I've used funnels for decades. Justrite cans are a thing. Plastic nozzles were always kind of shit.
^Good can too.

Buy once cry once
Are you retarded? Put fuel on the roof, put a hose and pump some air into the jerry with your lungs
Here is a drawing of how im doing it
How much is lawn mowing per cut in your area? You can find real cheap Mexican companies that only charge $35 per cut. They also do the edges and everything. Will save you a lot of trouble. Unless your only option is $80 per cut your local company charges so they will come over with two huge trucks full of equipment and will make an airport level noise blowing a few leaves back and forth for 3 fucking hours to justify the $$$. I am glad title 42 is expiring. Lawn mowing will get cheaper.
>go to garage, vent 1 gallon fuel container, sprays half its content on the ceiling
what? how? never had that happen.
>go to metal jerry can, the entire plastic nozzle cracked from overpressure.
get a real jerry can https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XwUkbGHFAhs
I constantly hear boomers grumbling about muh gas can nozzles muh California muh Obama but the first time I used one I had zero issues. It was the kind where you tilt the can over and push down until a section of the nozzle collapses and it opens a valve to let gas flow. I was fully prepared to make a mess from all the complaints I would hear both online and at work about them, but I didn’t spill a drop. I couldn’t help but wonder what everyone had been bitching about the whole time. Are you all retarded or something? Or maybe you’re all boomers who lost fine motor function after your third stroke so you can’t operate simple mechanisms? I mean it makes sense since the majority of this board are complete idiots.
this x 100. every gas can spout ever made is just like mine and if you don't agree you are a stupid boomer.
If you’re able to figure out simple mechanisms like a spout with a valve you must be a liberal gungrabbing Biden voter huh?
If you think all spout mechanisms are ok then you don't have enough experience to be posting here, except to ask questions in the sqtddtot
you don't get to decide where I can post, gay. if you can't figure out how to operate a simple spout you don't deserve to live.
For me its just sticking a funnel in my gas tank then pouring it in from my gas can after i remove the lid
For all the bullshit on modern cans you might as well just use this.
Perfect for filling chain saws if you cut off the nozzle. I use those often for other tasks.
>Halp, diy
Just diy a metal one
these actually work surprisingly good
Go to estate sales and buy some dead guy's old gas cans, guys like that are unlikely to have bought a gas can in 25 years
Bought these. Work great. Will buy more
