When will Transnistria fall?

Ukraine clearly has a limited time before Moldova gets couped and a pro-Russian government takes it's place. So why don't they attack this breakaway state already?

For what possible purpose would Ukraine have to open another front in an area that's not even relevant to retaking their country?

    >When will Transnistria fall?
    not a chance.
Ukraine is not about to invade neighboring country.
Also, nobody wants this vatnik-infested, radioactive, contaminated soviet shithole.
    not even Moldova,
having said that, Moldova is also vatnik-infested, radioactive, contaminated, soviet shithole but to a slightly lesser degree.
if you try Moldovan wine, you'll understand. You can taste the soviet bitterness.

Moldova pro-EU government was just toppled, and to be replaced with pro Russian one.
SO transnistria will be integrated hard to Moldova and attacking sovereign country would be horrible move when you are trying to win world's sympathies.

People talk a lot about the huge ammo depots in chudstria but I would guess that most of it has either rotted or been sold in the black market, like, a unsupervised giant soviet cache in the middle of nowhere, just sitting there?

The PMR allegedly has the largest ammunition stockpile in Eastern Europe, even if it's all Soviet era. The Russian garrison there is less than 2,000 troops and I doubt the breakaway republic has anything more than small militias, if even that. Taking it could take a load off of Moldova's shoulder and potentially replenish ammunition and shell stockpiles a bit, and arm new recruits. Russia doesn't have any good ways of reinforcing the area, so it's a feasible plan.

All that being said, I think it's more unlikely to happen than likely, but we'll see. It's going to eat up resources and lives either way if they go for it, but maybe getting the ammunition and covering their flank is worth it.
