When a Russian armored vehicle catches fire, the fire suppressions system is that you stop the vehicle, you get out of it and then pick up DIRT by hand and hand it to the guy still inside who tries to throw it on the fire.

Yes. The Abrams has an automated halon fire suppression system that engages within 0.2 of a second or something.

They still refill with halon or is it all halontron?

I dunno. Halon manufacture is banned, but the gas itself is not.

Aren't the handles of the fire suppression system on the outside too? Always wanted to pull them to piss off the crew if it didn't risk killing them.

Dirt isn’t necessary, just blow on it.

maybe most of em don't know how to use the extinguisher. like they don't know how to use a flushing toilet. is it so hard to believe? they rather do a hole in a house and shit in it rather than use the fully working toilet.

Distinct lack of bakhmut threads. Usually there are atleast 4. Only 2 and they havent been bumped for awhile. I did see some courageous anon made a cat thread about ukies not retaking ukraine. Nato trannies immediately decended on it to back track everything they said during the kharkiv offensive. Lmao. Cope. Seethe. Dilate.

All IFVs can catch fire, those vehicles are built sturdy and to manage this much. As you can see in the video, this BMP is fully functional and running even when there’s a small electrical fire thanks to redunduncy. A fire extinguisher has an extremely short period of action and fill an armored vehicle with carbon dioxide, while you never run out of dirt or sand.
You can see that the soldiers are pretty calm and handle the small incident professionally, contrary to western media claiming they are untrained mobiks.

      >piss tank bmp is so unmaintained electrical wires catch fire as unequipped and untrained crew doesn't have a simple fire extinguisher too stop a fire in the cabin within seconds.
Is that what you meant you seem a bit confused
