A sixth generation light fighter jet is a stealthy unmanned supersonic AMRAAM bus to fly alongside real manned sixth generation heavyweights

I think they'll eventually scale up a similar design to be supersonic and supercruising to keep up with the NGAD in long range sneaky boy bullshit

Btw, if F is fighter, B is bimber, what would C stand for?

        C is for transport aircraft.

The only reason the SU-57 can stand on anything is becuase it hasn't been shot down. The T14s never showed up so he's got nothing else.

Cargo cult copy of JSF X-32 just like the "su 57" is a cargo cult of the YF-23

No point, given the per unit cost it would be a hell of a lot better to build them large enough to carry a crew of 2-4 and have the electronics to handle a whole flight of effectively invisible drones

they appear to be moving toward:

    >high speed evasion
    >low radar stealth
    >cyber warfare enabled
    >IT management enabled

they take on more aspects of a bomber than a traditional fighter.

I think looking at it in respect to the evolving Air Combat management should provide some insight.

the 4th gen fighters are being repurposed into 4.5 generation fighters, but stopping there on purpose. these 4.5 gens will be used in a defensive role such as air patrols, interceptions, and pursuit actions. as a result they need a high mobility, fast instantaneous movement, and information management systems, but they themselves don't need an extreme amount of stealth. having enough "stealth," to help defeat weapon systems that could be used to identify them from long range or in a defensive dog fight is enough. the idea with these 4.5 gen planes is volume by fire and deterrence by persistence.

the 6th generation planes are oriented more for deep strikes and front-line operations. so they have a bunch of systems that make them better for penetrating enemy air-defenses and surviving. as a result they have a heavy emphasis on stealth and speed. the part that is often left out is that these new planes will have companion Drone fighters and the human pilot is less of a direct risk allowing for human adaptability to superseded the procedural drill of drones.
