You should do it. It’s amazing more people haven’t done it already.

You know what’s interesting? Down by Key West and shit, there’s a huge number of people who are 50% homeless and live on these shitty broken down boats anchored just off the islands. I always wonder what the deal is with the legality, there’s no way these boats are running and insured, maybe they’re registered if the fee is cheap enough, but they’re anchored in these little bays and not international waters or anything.

So did the bill pass? That’s an article about a proposed bill.

It’s funny watching the people come and go on the dinghy boats in the harbor. They’re all meth heads and and alcoholics I’d bet with a stolen generator running from time to time for their bilge pump or whatever. They honestly have a bad ass plot of water they float on but these people are one step above San Fran dumping on the sidewalk.

Key West is goofy though. And maritime laws are strange, like this big yacht washed ashore last fall with one of the hurricanes and I guess the owner was in jail or prison and the boat sat there on this public beach for a couple months before either the state or county or maybe he still had insurance on the boat and they moved it

Im not there, but i did a boat delivery for a week once. We just stopped at town parks and stuff.

I think its kinda like living in an rv or van, you're not really on the right side of it, but anywhere theres not a dock fee its kinda like pulling over on the side of the road or camping in parking lots... some places thread the needle pretty well for impermanent permanance

Most municipalities just never put up signs on the waterfront

state owns the submerged lands within 3 miles of coast. they are on state land and get moved about.. Cow Key Channel is one spot notorious for people mooring up. You won't be allowed to remain out there in a derelict vessel, however, for a number of reasons.

Must suck being in commie USA where the state owns everything. Here in blighty, the crown owns everything below the high water line and you may anchor where you please

Honestly after being on PrepHole a bit, it seems way fricking easier to camp and hike in the US compared to the Bongs and other Yuros where everything is private.

Speaking of poorly conceived watercraft ideas; what happened to the S/V Seeker threads? Did the jannies start nuking the threads?
