Great Value Flakturm means Putin is worried about Tu-141 strikes on Moscow

I wanna see it set the roof on fire the first time it launches a missile

There were only a couple of those even back in 2014. You mean HIMARS or Tomahawks?

        Anonymous

        >HIMARS
Only rocket that HIMARS can carry that can reach Moscow is PriSM, which lolno they're not getting. Tomahawk is also in the lolno category. I said Tu-141 and I meant Tu-141. That's allegedly what struck Engels so I suspect they may have found a way to resume production of them.

          >which lolno they're not getting
Oh sure not OFFICIALLY it'll be a miraculously retrofitted antique Tu-141 piloted by the ghost of the ghost of Kiev! But no it'll be longer range Western cruise missiles. Or an air incursion.

If Tomahawks are flying at Moscow it's either WW3, or an event that's about to be interpreted as WW3 by the Kremlin, and the difference isn't academic. If there's going to be WW3 we absolutely want to shoot first and disarm Russia. And besides, what ground launched platform for Tomahawk can be transferred to Ukraine?

              Anonymous

It's already WWIII. WWIII started almost a year ago. Remember how in WWI and WWII it took like a couple years for it to really "kick in" in the US? It's like that, the precum stage of WWIII where it's obviously WWIII but it's not WWIII on paper yet.

                Anonymous

Maybe "WW3" is to vague and loaded as a term. I'm specifically talking about a full scale nuclear exchange between the US and Russia. If hundreds of Tomahawks are inbound on Moscow they're just going to launch everything. So those Tomahawks better be aimed at nuclear C3, soft targets like TELs, and there better be SLBMs in the air aimed at Russian silos. You can't just give Ukraine Tomahawks and hope Russia doesn't treat them like US Tomahawks.

                Anonymous

Yes the full exchange is part of the plan. You see the rabid elites who have been agitating for WWIII will retreat to their bunkers with a bunch of infant children, who they will raise into a perfect society free of all the baggage we currently have like religions and what not.

It's the only reason I can come up with as to why WWIII is being actively pursued.

Can't be too careful of a random Su-34 flown by a dipshit trainee suddenly (guided by a BAC of .40 and suicidal intrusive thoughts) homing in on the biggest building nearby and giving it the Nippon Special.

Ukraine's store brand V2s actually make a difference. Also if Pantsirs didn't make a difference in Belogorod and Engels, what makes them think it will now?

          And the blue cone/pyramid things?

          Anonymous

          >anti radiation
No, they target active radar seekers. Ships use them as decoys against anti-ship missiles, the concept being that if you can't discern what is just a radar reflector (in pic) or a ship through the chaff and EW, you'll probably go for the radar reflector.

As for them never working, ehh, they might have done something. We never saw any attacks on the bridges using the types of missiles that would be vulnerable to those types of decoys so maybe they actually did help deter said attacks.

          And the blue cone/pyramid things?

50 cm tall cope triangles the Russians thought would trap tanks.

Yep the technique is pretty cool. Another thing you can do with them is pepper a field with decoy tanks made of plywood or whatever, then light a few fires, make a few radio calls, and place radar reflectors everywhere.

A fighter pilot in any jet that isn't literally an F-35/F-15E/similar jet with really good SAR pod will see tanks, see radar contacts that look like tanks, and will engage said tanks. Congratulations the enemy thinks it has destroyed your 69th armored battalion that is currently 70 km away about to frick up some conscripts.

how safe is it to put a 30t vehicle on the top of a building?

I suppose this is evidence that the building is basically a fortress and that they're not just going to place it up there to see it fall through all the way to ground level. At least I hope not or else, that means the entire Cold War was fake and so was the moon landing.
