What's the best shotgun ammo for CQB? RIP or flechetes?
Nobody uses them in real world applications. Your battlefield loadout stats are meaningless. >tldr buckshot
In your favorite video game?
There are fancy pants ways to get Flechetes to work "right" in a shotgun, but then what does that get you? Some extra range (worse than a rifle), maybe you penetrate soft armor (less consistently than a rifle). If you want your shotgun to cope as a rifle you can use slugs. Best case scenario Flechetes are ultra-ultra niche and way more expensive.
Yup pretty much this. Shotguns are amazing because they are a little bit of everything. Trying to min max for something on one is a really stupid idea though since its guaranteed to never be better than an alternative. The only relative best you can get out of a shotgun is pellets spread over an area for small game or fuck you ill just slam your ass with over an ounce of lead.
The ones they sell at wallmart are not the only type that's ever existed, but even when made to fly straight it's insignificant gains for exponential cost.
federal Buckshot 10 Gauge
Part # P108F 00
Shot Size: 00 Buck
Muzzle Velocity: 1100
Shot Charge Oz 2 1/4 >Shot Charge Oz 2 1/4
if this wont do it, then you need an elephant gun.
“tactical” 00 Buck will have buffering (aka Federal Flight Control) and reduced recoil. 8 or 9 pellets. Pic rel is Federal 9P 00 Buck at varying distances. Either 00 or Dragon’s Breath Kek

Flechetes are useless in all circumstances.
Literally worse than birdshot:

Buckshot.
Doesn’t matter. You neither own a shotgun nor are ever going to engage in CQB.
Just look at the ingame stats to optimize your loadout.

Buckshot for unarmored targets, slugs for armored ones.
Slugs don't do dick to armor unless they're some back asswards faux rifle round stuffed in a sabot or Taoflerdermaus handmade bullshit.

#4 buckshot. A 2 3/4" shell contains 27 .24" pellets traveling at over 1300 fps. When you absolutely have to shred your target at close range.
in CQB everything fired from a shotgun is a slug.

Why do schizos always format their posts like this

Flechetes are useless, but if someone isn't wearing any body armor you are going to give him one of the most painful deaths
