>The chief of staff of the US Army has grounded all Army aviators not involved in critical missions following two recent helicopter crashes that left 12 soldiers dead.

>The order from Army Chief of Staff James McConville grounds the aviators “until they complete the required training,” according to the Army.

>“The safety of our aviators is our top priority, and this stand down is an important step to make certain we are doing everything possible to prevent accidents and protect our personnel,” McConville said in a statement.

>Army pilots, at McConville’s direction, “will focus on safety and training protocols to ensure our pilots and crews have the knowledge, training and awareness to safely complete their assigned mission.”

>The safety stand down comes after Thursday’s mid-air collision of two AH-64 Apache helicopters near Fort Wainwright, Alaska, that killed three soldiers and wounded another.

>Last month, nine soldiers were killed when two HH-60 Blackhawks collided during routine night training near Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

The usual Army shit: somebody fricks up, the Army decides that it hasn't hammered the importance of not being moronic into the men hard enough, and it plays frick-frick games until it is once again confident that everyone knows how to not be moronic.

      >until it is once again confident that everyone knows how to not be moronic.
and this, of course, is just an illusion. the illusion lasts only until the next moron inevitably does something moronic because you really just can't get safety up to 100% in an organization as large as the military.

I'm glad that antivax morons are filtered out of the military. Spoiler warning, crashes are part of military aviation and vaccinations are older than even that and do an important part by letting covid deaths of unvaccinated increase global IQ.

America's big gay polesmoking manlove Navy has been the global guarantor of free trade and relatively peaceful hegemony for 80 years. Why is it suddenly a problem now?

    >What's going on?
That's what they're figuring out while everybody is grounded. It could be training lapses, a batch of malfunctioning parts, deliberate sabotage by an enemy, or random chance. Until they do an investigation, all that is just conjecture

I think Apaches are beautiful. I want to see one in real life. Are there any museums or tourist locations in Texas where we can see them?
