What's?

What's PrepHole's opinion on wallpaper/wallcoverings?

I was considering thinking it's easy to do that plastering a layer covering all the cracks, then painting.

I find wallpapering a lot more tiring than a skim coat and rolling paint on a wall. Plus you'll have to roll the paint over your wallpaper? IDK, seems like a lot of extra work mi amigo.

    >wallpaper/wallcoverings?

    they're great if you're running a mid-century bordello.
for a classy decent look, stick to light-colored paint and a smattering of tasteful paintings.

Farrow&Ball has among the most tasteful wallpaper in the world. Far from bordello grade.

I think wallpaper is overdue for a comeback. And real full wallpaper, not the 50 year old divorced woman "Accent wall" meme.

I did a paint stencil in my house

It was a fricking nightmare, way more work than wallpaper, but if you do it properly I think it’s nicer. Gives a textured appearance that I think is classy, like an actual painting versus a print. You really have to take your time though. We rushed when we started and had to sand, prime, and start over to get it back and then it took several days. But it’s not like you do it yearly

Real wallpaper is handmade with actual paint, not printed with ink.

I think the only good stuff is the glass fiber wallpaper, paints over easily, it makes drywall stronger and it’s easy to apply.

Never seen nice wallpaper with prints that was timeless except maybe in old French chateaux style buildings
