The anti-personel ones kind of suck too.
They aren't the flying claymore that was advertised. The warhead is REALLY bad.
It's really bizarre to me because... aren't there plenty of off the shelf sort of warheads for their purpose?
Apparently the drones dropping those little fragmentation grenades are generally a lot more effective despite those being smaller warheads and not airburst, which says a lot.
>Probably
Real life isn't a movie or your vidya, Igor. Unless you get smacked right in the dome, you're going to be moving until blood loss kills you. But, you know this already.
They were originally designed for US SF in Afghanistan, where the targets were unarmored and you generally don't want to kill anyone except the intended target. No collateral damage is an advantage in COIN, it's a liability in force on force.
>It's a liability in force on force.
I wouldn't say liabilty as it isnt actively harmful or fricking things up to use it but I would say badly optimized for it.
>muh warhead
Its not a game and even a small shrapnel can potentially cut through an artery and make you bleed out. Anti personnel weapons rely on shrapnel than big explosions
Its a SOF weapon for SOF ops optimized for high priority targets not really great for mass combat.
Its sort of like the differance between HIMARS and tube artillery.
If you need a specfic target killed on the first shot then switchblade or HIMARS.
If you want to clear trenches all day then quadcopters with vogs and tube artillery is better.
>If you need a specfic target killed on the first shot then switchblade or HIMARS.
HIMARS is on larger end when it comes to artillery shells. If they want to kill point target with long range artillery, they will use 155mm Excalibur shells. GMLRS M31 Unitary warhead has 90kg explosive filler, that is twice as much explosive filler than total weight of 155mm shell. Not to mention cost, M982 Excalibur procurement is now around 60k, GMLRS is around 150k per rocket.
Stopped over at your moms house
They're shit. Can't destroy materiel.
So the few times they are used, it's against personnel.

Case in point. Probably didn't kill anyone.

nobody ever advertised this. it's a 40mm grenade. it's no one elses fault that you're a tourist
>anti-personnel drones used against personnel
I am shocked and appalled!!!
needs bigger warhead
Switchblade 300 is an overpriced meme, RAM-2 with an explosion is a much more cost-effective solution
Switchblade 600 is not a meme, just overpriced
I know you're a newbie, but you could have at lease looked up the prices.
>could have at lease looked up the prices
Well, at least you can be praised for writing the dumbest and most incompetent comment at the same time.
Too expensive, from what i've been told, same for 600
Some footage was released during the week
>Trenches are scattered with so much litter it looks like a garbage dump
Why are Russians like this?
You answered your own question anon
not only litter but dead bodies as well
they crop up every now and again
my question is what happened to le phoenix ghost
didnt the mozart homosexual say they were lost thanks to corruption
why does every fricking day have the same "what happened to X, why does it suck" threads and morons fall for the same bait?
theyre useless with grenade dropping drones so cheap
sure bud
Switchblades are more useful as spotting drones that suicide drones.
Been killing vatnigs.
That looks like the ME too much dirt
It's almost like Ukraine has a desert or something. Are you actually moronic?
Outside of a few SOF applications its more cost and mission effective to post vatniks to VOGGED.COM
The drone of evil killed a bunch of civilians. All it did. Because it's useless on the battlefield.
Lancet got better material kills even brought back the cage which is now based and super valid
Stopped being newsworthy

>Warhead too small
>Shit range compared to laser guided artillery
Drones providing coordinates to artillery > loitering munitions with shit warhead
They’re really expensive for what they do, some mobik in a trench is not a high value enough target to make them a useful weapon.
The hype spam for them here and in medias was annoying as frick.
