pretty much the same but with a bunch of sensors and counter measures against ATGMs, and probably high elevation remote operated third weapon on top able to take out drones... maybe with a small targetting radar antenna.
There will be resistance to the unmanned turrets mostly based on overreactions to some cons compared to the advantages.
if you want the boring truth
Something like an Abrams hull but with a 2k HP diesel power pack
Something like the KF51 Pantehr turret but with a 120mm smoothbore with autoloader
turret top full of sensors and APS
turret and hull sides full of ERA and/or NERA
maybe a box launcher bolted to the rear that can throw recon drones or loitering munitions
everything covered in 'thermal camo' that sorta-kinda maybe works to some degree
then you're going to be a broke as b***h in the future, or your boomer ass will be on the street. 120mm has already been maxxed out, everyones looking at 130mm or 140mm
Limited crew or the possibility to master/slave and remote control
Bunch of Active protection systems + some minimal Anti-air.
Probably somewhat better armor due to advancements of material science.
Better Sensors+ targeting systems Passive radar. Laser. IR. All with massive AI assist and battlefield datalinks. Its own drone port. More big data, like what does it look like on Google street view over there. What is the Forrest and road/soil conditions over there. With the past and future weather.
Stuff like realtime satellite/drone feed. All in combination for a VR/argumented reality view
More beyond visual range weapon/rockets/suicide drones/ pgm. Hunter/killer.
More modular for logistics and role. Command vehicle/mine clearing/ trenching/ supplies. So you can bolt on a plow or attach a load. Or remove weight for airlifts or repairs kinda like the Powerpack swaps we have today.
Better ergonomics like self-loading and fuelling like we already have with some SPGs
But who know may pgm become so cheap and needed it's just a cheese wedge rocket Taxi that shits on anything with GPS, optical, ai guided stuff from 20 km Away while a drone on a long wire hovers at 700m to spot targets.
Lot more advancements in active defense systems. Maybe upgrade to main gun tech or shell tech, but the main cannon is going to be more or less the same in only 50 years.
there will be no tanks
everything will be drones firing hypersonic missiles from beyons visual range based on hyper efficient AI enhanced targetting. infantry, armor, etc will all be functionally immobilized
basically, war is going to be fricking gay and boring
>suicide drone cost: 15k to 80k >still can't breach walls >100mph speed, you can see it coming from km away and simply walk underneath cover >tank shell cost: 1k-2k >destroys fortifications >hitscan lag
I miss the days of watching Ronins trying to get into the meat of my team's Titan battle royale thinking they're all sneaky and shit. And then eating a fully charged RG shot to the wienerpit hatch, ditching their fresh Ronin in about a minute after dropping it while getting no Titan kills.
I miss that game like you wouldn't fricking believe...
There won't be new tank designs in 50 years. The battlefield will consist almost entirely of drone swarms leading small groups of infantry commanded by AI and backed up by artillery, very long ranged aircraft weapons, TBMs, and EW.
An armored tracked vehicle with a main gun on a turret.
Probably more advanced electronics, maybe some anti-ATGM system.
It will have a gun
she cute
cheese wedge strv
This, but with a much greater focus on speed, low observability (maybe even active camouflage), and NLOS attacks.
Like a modern tank except robotic and with much more active defence and better sensors

Tanks are already obsolete. Elon Musk understands it.
a) Only if you use them as a subhuman.
b) Still plenty useful against subhumans hiding, ie, inside concrete buildings so some will be fun to have around just for that.
Wow thanks Elon Musk, military analyst and strategist
My pleasure.
He's the smartest man on the planet, his knowledge knows no boundaries. How else could he be so rich?
hybrid engine so it can sit idle on just battery and not give off a big glowing thermal signature
Do batteries not heat up?
not anything like a bigass engine and its exhaust does
bigger on the inside, smaller on the outside. future tech.

Electrical with a gauss gun and solar panels on top to power it undefinitly. Also, they can fly.
Ill bet my pension itll be:
>120mm Rhinemetall main gun
>Slab sided composite armour
>12 cylinder diesel
Modernity is suffocating

Active camouflage that will obscure heat signatures.

I don;t know that tanks can survide sucide drones
I mean a sawm of 50 drones is going to cost way less than a tank, and whats the defence options.
You can cover pretty much the whole earth with low cost suicide drones now at low cost.
Where then an how then will the tanks hide?
>suicide drone cost: 15k to 80k
>still can't breach walls

>What will tank design be like 50 years from now?
Copies of Leclerc.
Copies of Leclerc everywhere.
i like to think a tank will be made with a bunch of javelins set up in VLS cells or something and epic javelin tank destroyer
Idk
Tanks will be replaced with mechs
I will personally lynch ronin players with a garden hose

>armor of a m1
>cannon of a m1 but with 45 degree elevation
>unmanned and less than half the weight
>iron fist aps
ez
it was nice of them to name it after an unreliable piece of shit, and least prospective buyers will know what to expect.
I don’t see T-34 in the filename.
