    Corporatism, it bankrupted the very soul and quality of the company.
    Once bankrupt, it appeared the stupid corporate frickheads thought it would be cheaper to settle a lawsuit with parents whose kids were shot rather than easily win in court.

      The bushmaster lawsuit decision was made by the creditors of ROC. By that point, all the various sub brands had been sold off in the bankruptcy liquidation and the only reason ROC was left around was to deal with the lawsuit. Settling out of court let them finally finsih the liquidation and finalize their losses.
