Imagine the nightmare for enemy aircraft if literally every unit in the field has anti air capability. Of course Stinger production would have to be dramatically increased, but just the thought that even rear-echelon, non-combat troops could be trained and field MANPADS would change the game.

This is why I believe infantry is the most underrated unit in modern war, give them a manpad and they can take down a heli, give them a mpatgm and they can beat tanks, give them a mortar and they can shell a trench on the spot, give them a rifle and they can take down another soldier, they only need something to beat drones like a man portable radar + some sort of automatic shotgun with flak rounds or whatever to be all rounded

Guided rockets are crazy expensive to do live fire practice with, so the military built simulators to allow soldiers to rack up hours of training that soldiers without access to those simulators could only dream of having.

And analogue -- there's some Swiss tank trainer from the 50's or 70's that allows the driver in position in a simulator tank turret to control a miniature camera on a tiny countryside roads type set with a small POV camera linked to the screens in the tank view slits to drive around and hit the elevations and bumps and etc and actually feel the jolts of running over little logs, etc. it was restored for tourism recently with Linux IIRC.
