What makes Americans so good at war?

What makes Americans so good at war? Is it the fact west point was a school that focused on engineering principles and created a culture in the armed forces were logistics and mechanical superiority are valued? What made the Roman’s so good? Was it a similar cultural fascination with engineers?

Americans: I think the fact that they had less of a top-down approach to strategy and tactics played a big part. There are still plenty of countries that do a top-down command style and it works terribly in modern war (see Russia)
    Roman: logistics and meritocracy

    Manufacturing, logistics, logistics and logistics.
We win "great state" wars because we could literally bury the other side in steel faster than we would tank our economy.

      Adaptability

Our logistical support is supreme compared to other empires of the past, where we can deploy boots from stateside to combat zone with air support, artillery backline, and support staff in a week give or take depending on the weather.
And our culture does not have disrespect or disdain for the military, but rather the political party in charge at the times of the fricky wuckies we made. However, I feel like that will change as veterans from the forever war lambast the military, and many leave due to it’s poor mismanagement

Military budget the size of a small first world nation gdp

it's a nice combination of all of these. it wont last forever though, the last few years have really done a number on a few of these key tenets. we'll see though we always have the opporitunity to unfrick ourselves and some of these tenets can compensate for others.

    Bad answers: money, logistics, weapons
Good answer: A LOT of practice . WW2, Korea, Vietnam, Yugoslavia, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria, Kuwait etc etc

Russia was involved in just as many armed conflicts as us, they just didn’t have the economics to actually keep up

Money in that case is an indication, not a reason. They are bad at war because they are morons, and they didn't had enough money as well because they are morons.

The US military wouldn't have the power projection or the ability to participate in and survive those conflicts if it wasn't for money, logistics and weapons.
