I think they have AR-15s (There was an hours long standoff a few years ago where they had them, but the guy literally killed himself 5 minutes in and nobody noticed kek), but outside of that I haven't seen anything. But I live in an area where a violent crime is still extremely rare and shocking when it happes. Recently there was a guy who went on YouTube and showed his dad's head in a bag after killing him, and that is still big news around here.

The photo above is from Snoqualmie, WA, which has basically no violent crime.

So in 2019 PA got a big spike in military equipment, but it didn't come to my area (based on 3 minutes of research). They could very well have serious military shit, but the 5 PDs I routinely see just never use it or show it off if they do

I bet the rural PA cops take the big armored vehicles out at night and frick around in the parking lot.

    >What kind of military equipment does your local police force have?

Basically none besides some AR-15s since I dont live in a 3rd world shithole that needs a police force equipped for civil war...

What are they going to use it for, do they even know what the intended purpose of that vehicle was?

They're clearly using it for a fun parade.

Did you hear that South Africa’s Milkor ready to locally produce 380 UCAV for Saudi Arabia, pending procurement talks? https://breakingdefense.com/2024/02/south-africas-milkor-ready-to-locally-produce-380-ucav-for-saudi-arabia-pending-procurement-talks/

No I wasn't aware, I think one of my relatives by marriage might be working on the nav system, unless we're producing another long range drone.

Nothing, because I don't live in orwellian dystopia where the state's violence monopoly.is trusted to barely trained violent school dropouts.

      >areas with more crime require more cops
      >more cops needed = less training for each one

      not that hard to understand.

No, it's some ideological bullshit where they cook the stats somehow
        >Well you signed an employment contract before you went to the academy so we don't count that as "training" prior to employment

      >500 hours
I call bullshit. Most police academies are 6 months long, so that's over a thousand hours of training (if its 9 to 5) and then there is field training on top of that which is usually about another 6 months but usually you're on prob for about a year (honestly longer unofficially).

There's a website where you can see what military equipment the federal government has given your local cops. They could still have other mil gear they bought on the side but it's a good indicator

they have complete control over the cities allocation of funds
road renovation projects are limited to the area right around the police station

I love how so many people said "AR15s" as military equipment...

Anyway, my local sheriff has 4 humvees and a MRAP.

MP7s for bike and motorcycle cops, some older HK shit from the early 2000s, mostly AR15s now. No armored vehicles (though they did try buying one), they bought 3 of these stupid ass SHERPs even though our county's SAR department already has some.

Everything they need to crush hard-working conservative white family men who posted something vaguely political on social medias, but apparently nothing sufficient to prevent brown mafias from sacking the country. Go figure.
