I own more PSA guns than any other. The consistently make acceptable quality guns for an affordable price. But I enjoy my FN guns more than any other I own.

I too like PSA, but I wish I could say the same about FN. They've been doing some silly shit for quite a while now. That being said, I'd cream my jeans if someone gave me an FNC.

Beretta because much 500 years history and because they're the ones I like the most aesthetically speaking

      >because much 500 years history
They did absolute dick for 450 of those years. The M9 created modern Beretta, they themselves even have a whole 20 minute youtube documentary about Beretta USA and how it completely transformed the company from some backwater euro hunting shotgun maker into the pillar of the firearms industry it currently is with acquisitions of Benelli and other brands

    For handguns, Beretta.
I also really like Smith and Wesson for handguns and their rifles. Winchester and Henry Lever gats are pretty chill too.

Frick yeah dude that is beautiful.

Yep, 458 WM, manufacture date ~1982. Kicks like a Clydesdale. Matched it with a ~1978 fixed 4x scope from Weaver, on original No. 1 rings. Intended it to be the one gun in my collection which could be an heirloom

I really like CZs but the whole roll pin deals really throws me off them

What's the deal with the roll pins? I've had a CZ-75B for about 10 years now and never have I experienced issues with roll pins. I'm genuinely curious.

        Anonymous

Competitors who legitimately dry fire 5000 times a week eventually break their roll pins after a few years. It's a non-issue unless you're doing that. Normal wear and tear, and they're cheap and easy to replace.

When my father purchased an P-01 it came with a snap-cap from the factory. Not sure if they supply these any more it was a long time ago. Really does seem like a non-issue. There are even solid pins available available from places like CZ custom or Cajun Gun Works.

It's a joke that it hasn't been fixed from the factory by CZ

3 points of noted parts that will fail under heavy firing from many competitors since CZ enjoys a big marketshare in that category.
        >firing pin retention pin
Dry firing with no snap cap or o-ring accelerates the wear and the firing pin shelf eventually bites into the factory roll pin stop. Cajun makes an aftermarket roll pin that is more tough than the factory one, but it’s still in your best interest to use snap caps/o-ring cushion if you’re going to dry fire frequently
        >trigger return spring
It‘s noted to give out after many rounds, but many people just immediately swap the factory spring out for the aftermarket shorter return spring
        >slide stop
design of the gun means a lot of stress is put onto the slide stop during use. Competition shooters suggest you buy a few spares, dedicate one for range and training and dedicate one for actual self defense use, that way, you’re not taking a slide stop that’s being battered by climbing round count into a possible defensive situation.

I've given the most money to Glock and the probably DD on barrels, so I guess the are my favorite, but they aren't very unique or exciting. Trijicon probably had the best customer service of any I dealt with, and I think SLR Rifleworks and Parker Mountain Machine are pretty cool.
