    Before anyone shits themselves;
    >its a modern reproduction m1 carbine he destroyed for virtue signal points.
You can tell because of the dogshit balsa-tier wood that has almost zero growth rings in it, and the fact theres almost zero wear on the parts.
I’d break that piece of shit too, as the new mfgr’d ones are tragically shitty.

It's still a 300 to $500 and I've seen them go up to $700 gun. It's just the attitude of not giving it to him of his grandkids to mess around with or something. I am sure that a kid or some guy somewhere would love to have a gun any kind even though it might be a crap gen 3 universal it's the idea of the matter

Honestly, I want my kids and grand kids to shoot.
Giving them an awful unreliable piece of shit, seems like a great way to turn them off from shooting all together.
A brand new/non broken in 10/22, shooting a bulk box remshit thunderbolts from 2001, is more reliable that these shitheaps.

Can someone explain why Boomers do that thing where it's impossible to make casual conversation with them or discuss anything that isn't simple and hyper literal without them getting oddly angry or misinterpreting what your trying to say? Anyone else notice this?

    They always
    >assume things incorrectly or infer things unprompted in an oddly defensive paranoiac manner
    >get things objectively, provably wrong but get super asshurt over innocuous shit

Is it the lead poisoning? That hyper agitation they seem to exist in as a default state.

      Like I.E.

      >Person A: "Greg is gonna be here later he just has to get his car from the repair shop first"
      >Boomer: "IT'S A TRUCK"

I'd call it autistic if they weren't the definition of normalfag

The whole "lead in gasoline" thing is probably true, but the biggest cause for the drop in violent crime was probably mass incarcerations starting in the '80s.

Boomers grew up in an era where everything was handed to them on a silver platter and they were told it was because they were so good at life and smart. This stoked their egos to the point of being constantly insecure and creating a desire to always reaffirm they're worth and accomplishments to themselves

Yes, I can explain it to you. One is a sense that they are right, as in zero or one, on or off. If they didn't experience it first hand, it could never happen. This is a product of 22 minute television morality. Second is a lack of inputs. The first time I learned garden gnomes were evil was meeting a Palestinian at a bus stop in college. He told me he was tortured by being forced to sit on an ice block for hours. Boomers seldom had these encounters because they are too self absorbed to ask someone else what their childhood in another country was like. Not a lack of opportunity but a lack of interest, a small world view. In summary, a short attention span.

      >Is it the lead poisoning? That hyper agitation they seem to exist in as a default state.
It's probably a part of it, there is also the Cold War mentality of "We vs Them", they grew up during a time where everything was nicely sectioned into good vs evil, right vs wrong.
Anyone trying to point out alternative viewpoints is either a commie infiltrator or a fascist fed depending on the personal views of the boomer in question.

Spoken like someone who knows nothing about Boomers. They invented "I just wanna grill". They invented not paying attention to your enemies taking over everything around you.

Politics was for like, squares man, I cant wait to party and buy a cheap house.

People pay more attention to politics in foreign countries than they ever did before, easily. My parents can tell me very little about the Cold War because the only politics they cared about was domestic.

Boomers are all narcissists. You cant reason with them because they always have to be right. Even when they're demonstrably wrong. My asshole father was much the same way. Because of him, I have no tolerance for, nor acceptance of narcs.

But do you know how you deal with a narcissist? You take from them the one thing they truly care about. Their Image. You humiliate them publicly and in front of as many people as possible. It wont humble them. Only wound them severely. They will never forgive you. But that's what you actually want because it will get them out of your life once and for all.

As people age they become more dominant, less prone to positive emotion and also less interested in making new friends.

It might also have to do with testosterone levels. As people age their levels drop, and with studies finding that elevated test levels being associated with validation seeking either in work or social situations must have something to do why that anon was ignored by the boomer which led to a hit in his ego
