What is this thing?

I picked it up in the parking lot where I live. On the ground I thought it was a usb key, now I'm thinking an led light of some sort.

Thanks, that's it. Taking off the top it did have a tiny bit of sticky heavy liquid that smells of tobacco and weed.

      >Radioactive source
actually, I need to test a Geiger counter
anyone have ideas where I may borrow a calibration source as just some random guy?
I have no real desire to own one, just borrow or have someone calibrate me
KI4U could, but I suspect I'm missing an obvious way to do this

        >put in bag with radioactive symbol. Place on government building parking lot. Look for local news report to see their conclusion.

        put it in the freezer

Smoke alarm americium may have an activity written on the side. Then multiply that by the apparent sensitivity, do some calculations to figure out what the observed counts would be in absence of dead-time.

If it's a strange usb device you should plug it into a work computer. Their infrastructure will scan it and make sure there's no viruses on it
