I’m wholeheartedly under the impression that a non-negligible amount of genuine Russian gear isn’t accounted for due to airsoft and pre-2014 /k/ larpers.
You used to be able to just buy digi flora shit, helmets, party suits, even frickin radios and NODs on eBay.
Hell, my pawn shop had a frickin’ T72 periscope sitting in a display case with a $5,000 price tag on it. Can’t find the pic in my camera roll, but if I find it I’ll reply to my own post.

Just so everyone understands, this is how Russia sustains such heavy losses without mobilization. They are offering a citizenship-for-service deal to the 3rd world. You don’t need to know Russian and you can bring your family over, you just sign up for military service for 1 year. In 6 months of service you can submit your application for citizenship which has a processing time of no more than 1 month by Presidential decree. Furthermore the Russian police are cracking down on illegal immigrant communities and “offering” them this deal. The young men who take this deal are typically too stupid to understand that they’re probably going to be thrown into the fray as literally disposable troops.

How is this any different than what the US has been doing for decades? Recruiting Mexicans and other illegals into the US military in exchange for citizenship after a tour or two in Iraq/Afghanistan?

        >Recruiting Mexicans and other illegals into the US military in exchange for citizenship
It doesn't work that way plus Iraq/Astan were cakewalks compared to the meat grinder that is Ukraine
America wasn't exactly running out of troops

It doesn't have a name because it isn't a package. Ratnik included clothing, armor, electronics and rifles. VKBO is the Ratnik EMR clothing system, and the new multicam versions are called 2.0 and 3.0. Body armor is the Strelok system, completely different from the legacy 6B45/46. Electronics and rifles haven't changed, the AK12 is continuous with the ratnik program and issuing of radios and night vision are too piecemeal to be cohesive.
