What is a good every carry shoulder holster. For open or concealed under a hoodie or light jacket. For a small .380, but I may upgrade to a Springfield xd possibly

That. Desantis makes a cheaper one. Smaller semi boutique shops like AE nelson. There was also that one based schizo boomer that made a shoulder holster for the cia specifically for smaller handguns.

An IWB holster
I wear basketball shorts a lot. Would these work still?
>I wear basketball shorts a lot
Stop
Why, it's hot af where I live
i dont know about shoulder holsters but you can use an IWB holster with gymshorts, you just have to wear a belt underneath the shorts and attach it to that. Its not as uncomfortable as it seems.
I'll check them out
What? Just tie the string on your shorts.
Get a better wardrobe
Try this: Fasten a leather belt around your waist. Put gym shorts over belt. Insert IWB holster under leather belt and slide the clip over the gym shorts. The clip should clip onto the belt under the shorts. There, you have CCW shorts without buying overpriced bullshit. I do this whenever I go to the gym or go for a run.
Gun Fighters Inc makes a kydex one named "spectre" that is decent. Doesn't have the class of leather of course but it exists.
I really like my Alien gear shoulder holster, but I carry a jericho so by default you're listening to a schzio who isn't a minmax homosexual.
>Expensive
>Very adjustable
>very comfy
>can use the shell for other style holsters which is neat.
Just buy something else, preferably from Vedder, as Shoulder holsters are extremely dangerous and over time wear down the triggers until one day you accidentally have a nice day on the lungs
Wat?
>wear down the triggers
Huh?
You fucking fags don't know shit about shoulder holsters and their danger but go ahead and shoot your lungs off
I own a shoulder holster. It doesn't interface with my pistol's trigger at all. It's just a friction fit like any belt holster.
Explain yourself.
Probably some ancient fuddlore his grandfather told him
How on Earth would you ever have a nice day putting a gun in a shoulder holster? You might hit somebody behind or to the side of you, but I see zero opportunities for self-inflicted wounds using these.
Exactly, is carry vertical too
I'd*
Shoulder holster is literally identical to any other except where the holster is positioned on your body. What the actual fuck are you talking about?
He's trying to start a flame war
>he doesn’t sharpen his triggers on Japanese whetstones
This. Just carry your pistol on the waistband of your pants like a real muthafuckin G shiet
>shoulder holster
>for a small 380
have a nice day, special snowflake anti-meta chasing dweeb

Real davice:
Start wearing jeans or slacks like an adult, and carry IWB.
Please do that it SE Texas where it gets at least 100F with 60% humidity for like a quarter of the year. Not going to dress uncomfortably and sweat my ass off to appease some homosexual online.
fuck your comfort homosexual
Chill David Goggins
>I LIKE being uncomfortable
>I LIKE adding more hassle to CCing
>I LIKE making the 'guccifags' in my head seethe
Kek right. Same boat where I live. In fact, if I wore pants year round here I'd probably stand out
If you can't handle wearing jeans in the Texas summer you're a bitch
>t. Fannin County
No opinion on the holster itself. I will say that all the stuff you listed is why I got a pocket revolver for non-winter carry. It's only cold enough to justify wearing a covering garment for a pretty short part of the year here. If you get a jacket that extends down below your belt line I doubt most people would even realize you had your shirt tucked in though.
You live in Fannin county hundreds of miles inland you fucking retard. I live in Galveston county, it’s a totally different type of heat. And I’m not wearing jeans in the summer, don’t care if you call me a pussy. If I have to wear pants it’s the stretchy breathable polyester kind.
I discovered fishing shirts and they've been a godsend for July/August Weather here.
Take the guayabera pill.
Galco and Falco for SOVL
Alien Gear for modern modularity and convenience
Woodson leather makes a stellar shoulder holster. Truly the best.
Modern jackets, sweaters, and hoodies are NOT cut with a holster in mind. You cant just buy a larger jacket to hide your shoulder holster, you need to just not get anything made after 1960.
You're fucked if you think you can wear a modern shirt or jacket and still even get one button closed with a fucking shoulder holster
You can fit a shoulder holster into any moderately loose jacket. Although I concede it's probably easier with a downward pointing holster than one that points out your back.
>t. Actually has one
What do you guys think of Falco's rotating shoulder holster? Carries vertically, draws almost horizontally. Shoulder holsters have been on my mind since a recent road trip where carrying appendix caused some pretty bad lower back pain. Considering this for my P30 to carry during long drives and/or cold weather.
My main concerns are:
>need to dress accordingly meaning not only wearing a cover garment but the shirt underneath must be tucked in order to use the belt tie-downs. this would be unusual for me but I guess I can keep the bottom of the cover garment closed when I'm not in the car
>not a big guy like the people demoing/reviewing shoulder holsters, so I worry about the grip printing through the cover garment. I'm about 5'8" and 150lbs if that helps
>that I might feel like I'm just larping and get weird about wearing it (stupid, I know)
You might want to consider an OWB cross draw holster. Azula
https://azulagunholsters.com/product/seated-cross-draw-handgun-holster/
and if you don’t mind the wait, a Carjacker model from Anderson
http://www.andrewsleather.com/carjackerx.htm
I have one for a cz75bd. It doesn't print enough for the average person to notice. It is a pain to wear something over it in the heat.
>It doesn't print enough for the average person to notice.
This might be ok for me, but what's your build? Like I said I'm about 5'8" and 150lbs. I'm trying to estimate how much it would print without spending the $200+ on the holster lol
6'1" 175lbs
It's alright, I have the one without the mag pouches for my CZP10C and it somewhat cuts into my neck (not as bad as the big fuckers they used for the demos), it does conceal well though even under a thicker button up shirt. Yeah its an alright design, I did have the actual holster part fall out of it once due to it coming loose from practcing draws with it, so keep into account that it's not just one piece like a normal horizontal one.
Mind you also my model does not have the back cross strap setup, so that bit on it being uncomfortable probably doesnt apply if your going with mag pouches.
Quit being a fag and accept that fanny pack carry is the best way to conceal carry. There is no good logical argument against it.
>off-body carry
>pistol jiggles around
>unshrouded trigger
>looks gay af and isn't concealable
>can't take in places that don't allow bags
>more visible than other cc options like appendix
Commence jigglin’
>off-body carry
No more than having it in your pocket. You're not carrying it in a backpack or satchel that someone can take. It's tight up against your body where the only way someone is getting it is if they knock you out from behind.
>pistol jiggles around
Not if you secure it. Like saying all holsters are shit because you buy a wrong/bad one.
>unshrouded trigger
That's why you put it in a holster inside the fanny pack and not just drop it in there.
>looks gay af and isn't concealable
First one isn't a logical reason and I don't even know what you mean by the second one.
>can't take in places that don't allow bags
"i carry my medical supplies in here" they literally can't tell you no or ask what's in it.
>more visible than other cc options like appendix
It's a fanny pack, anon. Visibility doesn't matter since it's a normal article of clothing.
>a normal article of clothing.
>Fanny pack
are you sure about that?
I love my Miami Classic, but in addition to being so expensive it is something I only get to wear occasionally when wearing a sport coat (to church for example). I've worn it under a Hawaiian shirt before and it works fine for concealment but felt a bit awkward. Maybe just me being paranoid

Galco Jackass is a good choice, the suede straps are thinner so they don't print as much under a light shirt/jacket, and they don't slide around as much. Additionally the holster can be adjusted to cant forward slightly, though this would be less important with a smaller handgun.
On the higher end of the spectrum both Kramer leather and Andrews Custom Leather both have excellent shoulder holsters

Galco and Falco are the only two options really worth a fuck unless you're paying a leatherworker for a custom piece. I say this as a person who has a Galco, a Falco, and a custom-made holster from a local leatherworker. I also tried out aliengear as well as Turkish ebay/etsy specials like , which I didn't like but let me dip my toes into it. The Galco and Falco are horizontal holsters, the custom one is vertical.
The Galco is the nicest but their options are pretty limited. I carry my GP100 in a Galco. But my other carry gun is a P01 with an optic and a light, and Galco doesn't make holsters for guns with optics and lights, or if they do they started since I was shopping.
The Falco works with the light and optic and is overall a very similar design, but the leather isn't as soft, the hardware is cheaper, overall not as nice but still fine, just adds up to a less comfortable (but still comfortable) carry situation. They're kind of the only game in town if you want an affordable leather shoulder holster for a gun with modern conveniences like a light and optic.
The custom holster was a christmas gift, and I get the impression it was probably very expensive, but it's really nice. I would probably consider it the nicest of the three, except that I prefer horizontal to vertical carry. Mostly that comes down to body type I guess. I have a pretty deep and broad chest that lets me tuck a gun horizontally in a way that it just disappears, but with a vertical gun idk the way it hangs it just feels like it doesn't conceal as well. Again this comes down to the dimensions of the gun as well as the dimensions of my body. A guy with more fat on his hips or a skinnier chest might prefer a vertical gun, but if you lift and look like it I think horizontal is the way to go.
Anyone buy from or hear about Masc brand shoulder holsters? I want a holster for my Python and I found one of theirs for 170 bucks.
