What if we press forged a tank

We've seen welded tanks. We've seen cast tanks. We've even seen rivetted tanks. But have we ever seen a tank that was pressed into shape with tens of thousands of tons of hydraulic pressure?

Not in production it doesn't, and not in reserves either. I don't know how this myth has persisted for the entire war, but Russia does not have a large reserve of T-34s. They have fewer T-34s than Armatas.

And none of them work. Their "reserves" are in less working condition than most museum pieces.

They did a study on it back in the 60s I think and concluded that while cold-pressed armour is slightly better than cast armour, the difference isn't significant enough to justify the cost.
Then chobham came along and made the whole thing moot.
