Locksneed Martin will underbid with a better fighter and win again, cementing total Locksneed supremacy
Boeing will then be gifted a pity F-35 modernization program that doesnt actually improve anything and is instead free gibs

Boeing won't win, but here is how I think it'll go down.

    >Boeing's submission meets all the requirements but isn't good and more importantly, isn't sexy.
    >Lockheed's submission is the most expensive, meets all of the requirements, and is the sexiest.
    >Northrop's submission costs less than Lockheed's is theoretically the best, but they just won the Raider contract so they won't be allowed to win; people will talk about how Northrop should have won for the next thirty years
    >Fourth company that can't possibly build the plane makes a "pick me" submission which technically meets all of the requirements but through unorthodox proposals that are intended to get Air Force Generals to give them money to stay afloat

Northrop Grumman deserves this one. Until the very late Cold War Grumman basically made up the entirety of US fixed-wing naval aviation. Not to mention that none of their fighters have ever been major stinkers, usually top of class and at worst mediocre.
They have extensive experience not just with carrier-based aircraft but also stealth technology, definitely moreso than Boeing.

That's really accurate. Boeing should be split up up it's just a piece of shit in general

Boeing immediately sends multipole copies of all the plans (and operating software) to their engineering subcontractor in India.

China and Russia intercept it in transit and develop countermeasures within a week.

The plans show up on /t/

China parades a derivative aircraft within a year.

Boeing never produces a single unit.

LM will build NGAD, NG will build F/A-XX. It should really be the other way around if you think about it, because NG could naturally harmonize the B-21 and NGAD programs, but that's just not the way it will be.

Quite some time later, Boeing will build the C-15/C-17/KC-46 replacement (with help from NG).

      Anonymous

And the most important reason that LM will build NGAD, I should say, is that NG has already declared it's not competing for the contract.

spacex should just buy boeing, rehire a bunch of competent engineers and purge all the useless business major filth, dispite eloneron's reluctance, spacex has proven quite capable as a governmental military contractor.

Nothing changes except we phase out the Raptor, which is already lightyears ahead of what everybody else has
Then this new thing sits around collecting dust while we wait for the next big air war that never happens until it's quietly made obsolete by some other technology
