If you are as dumb as the guy in your photo, Then I suspect you will die just like he did. For all of his book learning he was still stupid.
The Stranger in the Woods
not really a survival book but fun nonetheless
Probably books about economics more than anything. You need proper structure in your financial assets for smoother sailing
I can't even tell if these threads are bait or not anymore
The Earth Abides - it was meh, people return to bows and arrows, and forget about the books in the library to rebuild anything...everyone is dumb.
One second after - if that's the name,I forget...about EMP nuking NC area to be exact.
Some other whole series...Going Home angry American.
“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?... The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin's thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn't love freedom enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”
― Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn , The Gulag Archipelago 1918–1956
50 shades of grey. It's important to know your knots.
One Second After is a pretty good book, it's not really a "how to" book but gives you an idea of how things may go down in SHTF.
Singing Wheels
The Yearling
Nothing you read will prepare you for when shit hits the fan.
All you need
You will want to develop actual skills and real world experience. If you want to read books, then survival manuals and plant identification field guides might help, but you need actual proven survival skills. Easiest way to do this is to go camping and practice said skills.
not really read, you can do that later, but you need to be buying books on wild edible plants, army field manuals, etc. after SHTF power will go away and the only further knowledge you will obtain will be from reading books.
