What does K think about Utah Momormon weapons manufacturers? Is this as close as you can get to the Magpul PDR?

What does K think about Utah Momormon weapons manufacturers? Is this as close as you can get to the Magpul PDR? Is the micron kit serviceable? Have any of you poor poorgays wage slaved enough to buy something from DT,Nissan it worth it?

Bruh get rid of the ratchet brake meme. How do u like the mantis bipof?

The brake is unnecessary and stupid, but I usually shoot alone in the woods and it's only really obnoxious to people off to the side so I just haven't bothered. I'll get around to getting a can for it eventually and just use whatever QD muzzle device that takes.
Mantis is great, both for having a bipod and a more solid feeling handguard. Has a sling QD built in but I still use an m-lok one to get the sling swivel further from the path of the bipod legs. It is heavy as shit though, and the MDR isn't a light gun to start with.

I'm currently using a magpul vertical grip as a stand alone monopod. Idk if I'll get the mantis. Because then I'll have to take my muzzle device off and back on. Not to mention 550$

Mormons are Satanic as they have bolted their lies to the Bible and Jesus and corrupted it just like the Muslims. Enemies of humanity and Christ. Joeseph Smith was a vicious compulsive liar and worshipped Satan.

Did you order direct, were you able to find a local dealer, or did you use GB? Closest offical DT dealer from me is like 400 miles.

Local dealer, got to handle the gun before buying that way.

What’s the rundown? Are these guys specifically Mormons or is it just that these guns are produced in Utah?

All of those companies who make guns and gun shit out in the west desert are largely Mormon. Magpul, Desertech, Christensen Arms, etc. Just following JMB's legacy.

I think they're damn great and I've been drooling over the MDRX since it was announced
not a poorgay, but can't justify buying it because modern semi-auto rifles are so perfect, they bore me to death on the range, maybe someday when I have land and will need to have a truck rifle to deal with coyotes or something

    I got a micron and a 308. i love em

I can get the rifle in 308 and buy a micron kit and use the same chassis right? I'll probably keep it in micron for 11/12 months and swap it to 308 in feet season. I know it's not practical and moronic but it's possible right?

yes, you just need to make sure you get the correct kit as there is one if you have a SE version and one if you have a FE that is more expensive because of the conversion.

          Is the micron SE only?

            Anonymous

yes due to the location of the gasblock on the barrel, the gun wouldn't be able to have enough gas for the FE system.

Seems like they only sell the .308 in FE on their site, but they also sell a FE to SE conversion kit on their site that "fits all MRDX rifles". So if you get the .308 then you have to by the FE to SE kit, then you need to buy the Micron kit. Seems like a big hassle.

Not exactly, you just get the right kit like earlier anon said. The Micron-for-FE-rifles kit costs more because it includes the conversion needed too.

I lived in Utah for a bit and the Mormons are really nice, have good family and community culture. The theology is just kind of kooky. John Moses Browning designed some outstanding weapons and I am appreciative bc I love most of them

      >Mormons
That's a really weird way of saying Mexicans and Californians. Where the frick did you live in Utah that was actually still white? There's no way it was anywhere in between Brigham City and Santaquin.

I like my .308 MDRX a lot too. But I think the gun is overbuilt and heavy if you purely want to use it for 223/556/300bo. Being able to rapidly swap calibres is a neat party trick, and I guess amidst the supply shortages even has been a bit useful these past few crazy years. But I'd rather have a dedicated platform in general. I think they also clearly overextended during ramp up and didn't scale their internal QA and CS systems well enough. The MDRX is fricking great if you have a good one, but they've had some serious quality control issues and then trouble responding to that fast enough. Granted that's not at all unusual amongst growing companies, but it's still a blemish.

But I like their designs and I'm always glad to have new players doing different stuff, and I'm excited to see where they go next. A dedicated Micron design could be neat, or perhaps one along the lines of what they have now but with an 8.6bo 12.5" barrel. That'd make more use of the overall designed-for-30cal build while still being compact and with interesting subsonic performance.
