          The SS Stephen Hopkins used its 4 inch gun to sink the German raider the Stier. The SS Lawton.B Evans not only survived attack by a U Boat but went onto shoot down 5 enemy planes. Mostly though, they were turkey shoots.

    Some of their catamarans and fast attack boats look cool. Container ships painted grey are lame.
    We'll see how their "aircraft carrier" turns out but I'm fairly sure it's just going to be for drones.

      The Atlantic Conveyor wasn't a success story.

      Lost;
      12 men
      6 Wessex
      3 chinooks
      1 lynx

        It took a looong time to sink and during that time most of the helicopters aboard managed to evacuate. They were later crucial in delivering supplies and weapons to the islands

          What are you on about?

          Only one chinook, the famous Bravo November and one wessex were saved.

          With only one chinook no large scale moves of infantry forces by helicopter were possible and most of the troops had to walk up to fifty miles to Stanley.

            >most
            only 1 was evacuated
            the loss of these helicopters forced the British forces to conduct a forced march across the island to Stanley rather than conduct an air assault

            Nta but your forgetting it brought with it 14 Harriers and 2 Chinooks that did make it.
            The Harriers being key to the campaign the helicopters not so much.
