Bah, poncy elf sword. Give me a good dwarf axe, any day of the week.

Absolutely terrible sword, a mismashed 13th c. Oakshotte XVIIIb with a combination wheel/scentstopper pommel and a hilt only halfway wrapped. Whoever made this thing didn't know you're supposed to use it with both hands from time to time, like every time. stupid.
POB and POI are clumsy beyond belief, makes a baseball bat look like a surgical instrument.
last choice in swords I'm afraid, stand well behind and to the left of the Herb that brings this boat anchor to the battlefield

well, even a crap sword beats an axe, but dwarves are a roughly 76 IQ consangineous population so no surprise you'd say that

I believe that as a silicon valley company theres zero chance they wont pivot to a cost structure that manages to gouge the government budget even harder

they sell surveillance equipment to the military and US border patrol. their AI surevillance stations all all over the southern US border. they got some DOD drone contracts too: armed and surveillance

supposedly the secret sauce is a unified API/messaging platform and central hub processing, so you can plug whatever device in whereever and it will feed back to the system so they can SIEM the info from every location at once, or make dumb PFCs watch the streams 24/7, or both

They have some mechanical engineer positions open. I think I'll apply.

Pretty great vision, working on cool tech. I think disrupting the traditional MIC is the best way to maintain absolute supremacy over our adversaries, embracing the best features of capitalism and America.

But I don't think any of what they have worked on has been deployed or used extensively in an actual conflict. Cool products, great PR and design, but untested? compared to the other big dogs at least.

Starry eyed nerds with money and the means to bring their weird fantasies to life.
Frankly I'll take them over the unimaginative geezers that make up the MIC.

We mainly build decent quality drones for cheap and quickly. But it’s nothing new. We like to really push our proprietary software that connects everything but it’s not much more than a meme right now until we build more complex drones like Fury.

      3 Qs
how much of your comp is in equity vs salary
same q on exec comp ratio
Do you have actual bona fide software engineers working there doing actual development on original IP or is it the usual front company dreamed up by marketing buttholes peddling outsourced/AI/OEM-patched-in/smashed-in existing tech bullshit

        1) about 15% is equity
        2) don’t know about execs unfortunately
        3) we do have real SWEs making our own stuff. Right now it’s nothing mind blowing. The only difference is that we’re doing it faster and cheaper than anyone else in the defense sector.

OK, those are all healthy answers. Right now software innovationis where its at but there's lots of shitheads who think they can slap 5 off the shelf systems together and have some Indians glue it together. If there's at least one person in prod dev who's job you canot comprehend (Bobbysoxing Analytics researcher e.g.) you're in good shape the only solid way to build a software product in this particular market is from the ground up. Keep an eye on that equity calendar tho

It's good to see another serious competitor to the big defense contractors but I think some of their concepts are a little dumb.
