I generally don't offer opinions on guns I haven't owned or at the very least rented. So, I don't know. The gun is probably fine and a good value like the old S&W striker guns or a Ruger Security 9. The thing is all the PSA owners I meet, at least the ones readily identifiable as PSA owners, have all been obese, poor and kind of dumb looking. The pistol may be fantastic but I would like to distance myself from inclusion in that group.
without resorting to memes, tell me what's impractical about .40 S&W

I bought the PSA Dagger Compact as component parts: slide, recoil spring assembly, barrel, and complete frame.
The slide I went with is the PSA SW5 optic cut and looks great -10/10 IMO. The barrel is spiral fluted and has a black DLC finish. The recoil spring assembly is top tier with a metal guide rod and is definitely better / stronger than stock glock one for sure. The frame is the Dagger compact frame and it fits the hand well and is made of a strong feeling polymer. The frame features a double undercut trigger guard which makes holding the gun comfy. The beaver tail is perfectly shaped and sized.
The trigger however is SQUISHY crap it has to be pulled ALL THE WAY to the rear to fire. So far so that it almost seems like it is not going to fire when you are first getting a feel for it. I would give it a 2 out of 10 for the trigger. It is like you are pulling the trigger on a dollar store squirt gun.
The mag release kind of sucks as it has an abnormally high pressure needed to release the magazine as compared to a stock Glock brand Glock. Apparently this is how they all are after reading other reviews and forum posts on PSA. I replaced the stock mag release spring with a reduced poundage spring and it improved a lot. I also replaced the mag release button with an extended one which also helped with releasing the magazine as the stock button needs pushed in way too far IMO. I am using Glock mags and they do drop free, but not as smoothly as from an actual Glock.
The slide lock/release is actually better than stock glock compared side by side as there is a bit more gap between the bottom of the lever and fence around it on the frame which allows for pushing it up to lock the slide slightly more easily. I did replace it with a Glock OEM extended aftermarket one and it is even better for it.
Before firing for the first time I racked the slide 400 times to break it in, and then fired off a mag of 115 grain 9mm ball ammo without any issues. The trigger feeling squishy is there on slow fire but kinda disappears when actually firing fast. I am sure however that an improved aftermarket trigger would make it a much nicer gun to shoot. Even a stock oem Glock trigger would be a good upgrade.
Overall it seems reliable and is balanced well. The suppressor height sights were accurate at 15 feet and it points very well on target from a draw even with its suppressor height sights. It also ejects the spent casings extremely close to the gun without sending casings flying super far like some pistols do.
I would say it is definitely worth the price point but does need some upgrades out of the box, mainly a trigger but I would really recommend an aftermarket extended slide lock/release, reduced poundage mag release spring, extended mag release button, and literally any other trigger. Overall I would give it a 7.5 out of 10 and would recommend. I'd give it a solid 8 or 8.5 with an improved trigger. > 2 of 2
It might’ve been your gun, my trigger feels like kind of a side-grade compared to a Glock. I 10/10 agree that the stock mag release is stiff.

What do you think about the psa dagger?
Overall it’s a good gun, I have about 500 rounds through mine, and no issues. My only failure was user induced by my mom seemingly limpwristing it, but she’s also done that with other pistols so it’s not really a surprise. I also got my complete slide bundled with the dot for like another hundred bucks, so it’s pretty fun.
The fact you can get one for under 300 bucks with an optics cut is pretty great, and for like 400ish with an optic is cool too. Overall I would recommend as a solid poorfag pistol, or if you’re interested in trying a dot and pistol for cheap before investing in an entire setup.
Also the ability to get other cheap frames is nice. I’m probably gonna pick up the large frame for owb use and use the compact frame for carry use, and just switch the upper between them.

Vickers extended mag release served me well with mine. Trigger isn't great but "dollar store squirt gun" is a bit ridiculous. Mind you, I'm not a trigger snob by any means, but on both the Daggers I purchased, both felt similar to the m&p 1.0 from s&w. Maybe it's just your particular pistol?
>What do you think about the psa dagger?
I think it's great value for the product you recieve. You would have a similar, if not comparable quality to an Austrian Glock. But PSA gives you more options like slide or frame coloring, optics, etc. While you would have to modify a comparable Glock to get the same kind of benefit. It's better than getting a shitty cheap Smith Wesson, Taurus or random Springfield.
went into shooting it thinking it was going to be turbo trash and it shouldn't have ever touched my hands. But after 50 rounds i ended up shooting 300 through it in one range session.
I really enjoyed the hell out of it
My only complaint was that the mag release was smaller then a standard glock and the optic cut looked meh. But for the price i was hella impressed and i plan on buying one to put in my toolbox
>My only complaint was that the mag release was smaller then a standard glock and the optic cut looked meh.
the mag release was one of the things changed between Gen3 and Gen4 to make it ambidexterous (reversible, not really ambi)
It'd be cool if they could keep the bog standard, no threaded barrel, no gay lightening cuts, no optic cut version in stock but they seem unable to
Curious
Damn, I was looking to grab a G19, but apparently the Dagger is just a G19 gen 3 at half price. Who runs PSA again? I think he's just working to spite the gun industry with good deals and quality, yet affordable weapons lmao.
Made out of soft stainless steel like their butter metal AKs. Gen 3 Glocks were the worst anyway, can't reach the mag release. Glock is shit in general, get an M&P.
shittier version of an already shit gun
gorilla tier jogger
>glock
>shit
That's not how you spell "AR15".
why not just get a glock?
you can buy an RMR cut dagger for $239.98 right now, that's why.
they sell ones with optics too for like 450-500
$419.97 with an HS407A3 X2
since glock let their gen 3 patents expire there's no good reason to pay twice as much for literally the same exact thing.
except it isn't "the exact same thing"
they are dogshit ugly. they could be immune to limpwristing and capable of shooting down helicopters and I still wouldn't buy one
its better in everyway instead. slide is not a lego block, and the grip is better.
not a brand whore
too square
its good. you can get the frames for as low as 50 dollars
complete slides for like 120 with barrel for like 170
If you know how glock work, just make sure they put the safety spring in correctly
i find the trigger to be better than glock , and the grip feels fucking nice.
It's from PSA so I don't think about it at all.

in a world of LEO trade in glocks and M&Ps, why buy PSA?
Anon a lot of cop surp guns sell near $500 at this point, the $300-350 deals are rarities that come in bursts
thats incorrect, you suck at shopping.
what if I don't want one in .40 Swishers & Watermelon or .45AARP?
>that site
>$1000-$1500 for AKs and G3 clones
WTF happened burgerbros? I thought you could have almost any cold war classic for under $800 there.
Ak prices have been retarded for a bit, but ~$1k for a PTR is fair.
AK's have been getting more ridiculous every year. Retards are paying over $800 for a fucking WASR.
And those come in bursts, then dry up
Those are all in 40 problem solver. People want a practical caliber not a meme.
without resorting to memes, tell me what's impractical about .40 S&W

Forgot pic
You know all gen. 3 Glock triggers fit in the daggers right?
I don't think anything of it because I've never shot it or held it and I'm not a brand whore
Solid gun for price point after trigger upgrade (APEX)
It's one of the guns of all time.

>P80 is so great Anons!
>DAGGER IS SHIT
it's all so tiresome.
Unironically the dagger slides are great on those frames.
I think they look mismatched.
But they work, and the dagger slides area good bargain.
Spooky
>palmetto halloween
>no halloween themed meme lower
yall got me FUCKED UP whats the point
shot a buddies a couple months back.

Dagger is a Gen3 clone because it is off-patent.
They're pretty good. For the money, they're fucking excellent.
Replace the trigger bar with Glock OEM or give it a damn good polish job though.
It'd be cool if they could keep the bog standard, no threaded barrel, no gay lightening cuts, no optic cut version in stock but they seem unable to
Curious
Whatever the fuck that is belongs on the hip of a security guard in Malaysia or something.
they need to sell a K cut slide
micro dagger
can't get a 43x/48 in CA without crazy markup
Did they fix the trigger pin walk yet? Been considering getting one of these for my cc
Been fixed for a long while now.
yeah
To cheap to not have one at this point
especially right now. $273 delivered is just fucking nuts.
What the fuck, that's insane. God bless PSA.
doing gods work
When are they going to make a G17 frame
they made a 5.7, anything is possible.
they have a g45 frame , which i close enough. you don't need the extra .5 inches of dust cover
Its a glawk but half the price and comes with some of the things glawk owners have to add to their shit gun. So its a good value.
Damn, I was looking to grab a G19, but apparently the Dagger is just a G19 gen 3 at half price. Who runs PSA again? I think he's just working to spite the gun industry with good deals and quality, yet affordable weapons lmao.
PSA runs PSA
very zased
What about CZ P-10?
