He’s moronic. I don’t mean that in a bad way, I just think he probably has a low IQ.
He was right for killing those guys but it seems like everything he’s done after that has been incredibly stupid.

Yeah, just seems very self-absorbed and dumb as frick. Like that Katrina looter thing, the only thing on his mind was "how can I make myself the hero of this situation" and it seems like he was so focused on that he never once considered "is it really wise to implicate myself in extrajudicial murder?".

Ron Paul was unironically right about him tbh. Kyle chose to make a living killing other people, made a public point of bragging about how cool it made him, and Pikachu-faced when someone finally came to punch his ticket.

Yeah, just seems very self-absorbed and dumb as frick. Like that Katrina looter thing, the only thing on his mind was "how can I make myself the hero of this situation" and it seems like he was so focused on that he never once considered "is it really wise to implicate myself in extrajudicial murder?".

He wasn't just stupid, he was a fricking compulsive liar. If he hadn't been shot, Jesse Ventura's lawsuit would have likely completely discredited him and ruined his reputation. Honestly the only thing Ventura did wrong was not suing him for more.

Why was he suing Chris Kyle?

Chris Kyle publicly slandered Ventura, twice.

          1. In his book, American Sniper, Kyle claimed to have physically assaulted an unnamed person (implied to be Ventura), for saying that the SEALs "deserved to lose a few".

          2. Kyle later stated in an Opie and Anthony interview in 2012 that Ventura was specifically the person he assaulted.

In both instances, Kyle appears to have been motivated by Ventura's being among the most vocal opponents of the Iraq War.

A lot of people took this at face value and Jesse Ventura was subjected to harassment and even lost friends over the incident, prompting him to sue Kyle for defamation. As far as the courts could tell, Ventura and Kyle had never even met in person up until the lawsuit, making the entire story complete bullshit. Ventura was subsequently awarded $1.5 million from Kyle's estate (paid out by Kyle's liability insurance).

            >Ventura was subsequently awarded $1.5 million from Kyle's estate (paid out by Kyle's liability insurance).
Lol. I know Ventura's a goober in his own way but seeing Kyle take L's even after he's dead is morbidly hilarious to me. God that's such a high school b***h clique story to make up about a guy you don't like.

Ventura actually repeatedly offered to drop the entire lawsuit on the sole condition that Kyle retract the statement and issue a public apology. Kyle, being the arrogant frickass that he was, refused and simply doubled down.

Kyle claimed in his book to have punched out a guy at a bar for insulting the military
and criticizing the Iraq War, and later went on tv and said it was Jesse Ventura. Ventura said it was completely made up and he'd never even met him.

All Navy Seal's retired or active duty are insufferable Green Beret killers.
Jesse Ventura wasn't suing Chris Kyle specifically because Chris was already dead, Ventura was suing Chris's estate, aka Chris Kyle's widowed wife.

Talking shit has consequences, don’t care if the instigator died. If you profitted from that, and you have the estate, then you pay for it. Sorry, not sorry.

The lawsuit started while Kyle was still alive. I'll reiterate that he offered multiple times to drop the suit on the condition that the statement was officially retracted and was refused every time. The offer was presumably offered to Kyle's widow and she evidently rejected it as well.

Point is, Kyle lied and pretty much damn ruined another man's life while profiting off his own phony chest-thumping. There is no getting around that.

The literal judgement against his estate is proof of that. Ventura proved that Kyle lied in court. This is all public info.

I went to college in a navy town. The shit was literally everywhere. You have to remember there was a massive gear shortage early in the war on terror, so all branches had to make do with a crazy mixture of commercial and modified gear, most famously he "RAID mod", which was a tailored BDU. At the time I went to school, the military really wanted to put that era behind them since it made them look "unprofessional", not to mention objectively better new gear with a more uniform appearance was now widely issued. Until the SEAL movies came out, only the most autistic of the autistic would buy it and not for much since the demand was depressed.
