That's a pretty old example FYI. They added some new things like a pic rail (instead of weaver), telescoping stock, ergo safety, longer mag release, and pic rail handuards (although they still sell still export them with the originals).
It absolutely is not. My beryl is from the 2nd batch of the recent AoA/Atlantic imports, and its just threaded onto the barrel instead of pinned like OG beyls. IIRC, the device itself is usa made for 922r shenanigans. I'm not really sure how to properly fix it either, since theres no shoulder or anything with the threads. Probably going to have to loctite it or something.
Loctite by itself isn't going to hold: you need a little bit of torque for it to work properly.
You have a few options: >Jam Nut >tap muzzle device with a little more thread >add a little more thread to barrel with a die
I would personally just use a jam nut since the OEM design doesn't really do anything.
Seems cool but I already have four other 5.56 AKs so I never bothered with it. Plebbit and fags on /akg/ were overhyping them for years so that also turned me off.
Meh I already have a factory config Saiga 223, a converted Vepr 223, a ZPAP 85, and a 13" Galil Ace Gen 1 556 rock and lock along with just as many 7.62x39 AKs. If I had $1600 to burn then I wouldn't buy a Beryl personally. The only thing cool about it to me is that it's an AK that was used as standard issue by a NATO member state.
Sounds like you're doing a bit of post-purchase rationalization for why you paid $1600+tip for an overhyped AK that doesn't even come with an optics rail.
Its a really goofy attempt to modernize the AK while not overhauling the receiver to remove the flaws in modernizing AKs. AK fanboys love them though and they are a good .223 AK that isn't a PSA. The AK in its classic riveted receiver configuration is dated and solutions exist to make it easier to work with, I like the Serb's replaceable barrel system and stuff like the sureshot chassis has promise if they can cut more weight off and make them super minimalist.
I own a basic WASR with wood furniture and I've got a PK01V on it. I immediately lost interest in participating in any AK community when I realized a rifle that was supposed to be mass produced and unremarkable was turning into some cancerous funko pop nonsense.
why they make it look like that
she cute
I like mine well enough. That rail must be very early prototype or something I've never seen it before.
its cool
That rail is /k/ino.

Why posit on something you know nothing about
He doesn't know he's wrong, calm down.
did you have to dremel your grip nut, or did you find a place that sells ones that work for that grip?
the gun comes with hardware for the correct pg, just like it comes with the piece for the collapsing stock.
I quite like mine. Some minor things I still need to fix, like the bayo lug, and the muzzle device having come loose, but I'd buy again.
The bayonet lug on my Beryl wasn't machined out either. Slightly disappointed with that.
I'm sure you've probably heard, but AoA will machine the lug if you send your rifle to them, for like 80$. Kinda considering it, frankly.
I don't think your muzzle device is indexed correctly

I appreciate you reminding me that jam nuts are a thing, anon.
>the gun comes with hardware for the correct pg
Mine didn't in 2021. Oh well. Your black mag is cool too.
Not great, not terberyl
>What do we think of the Beryl?
Too big
>Gee grzegorz brzęczyszczykiewicz, why's you mom let you have two beyls?
So fucking true
I quite like mine, sadly the followers + springs for my black mags never showed up.
Seems cool but I already have four other 5.56 AKs so I never bothered with it. Plebbit and fags on /akg/ were overhyping them for years so that also turned me off.
It's literally the only good 5.56 AK outside of the 100 series shit, and converting a saiga in 2023 is quite a gay experience.

Yeah you didn't have to tell me you owned a zpap, I already knew.

homosexual: the post
lets see your AK
I own a basic WASR with wood furniture and I've got a PK01V on it. I immediately lost interest in participating in any AK community when I realized a rifle that was supposed to be mass produced and unremarkable was turning into some cancerous funko pop nonsense.
yeah thats what I expected.
Buddy I don't need the approval of someone who buys Pakistani bakelite mags for 100 bucks a piece.
It's good gun.
Most ergonomic safety of all AK's I've seen.
