most of them were highly problematic though and are better off melted down before they can cause any harm. some "history" is better off kept at text or photos, lots of statues should be torn down too!

      Absolute retards.
There is no conviction yet, they got seized and stored as evidence until a judge decides what happens with them, there’s ~~*secured*~~ warehouses full of firearms that were seized as evidence and never destroyed because a judge decided to archive the evidence.
Feds don’t decide shit you absolute mouthbreathers, it’s the magistracy.

You are convicted when you plead guilty and the judge accepts your plea, which has occurred. He has not been sentenced, which can only occur after the conviction. You’re trying to play semantics with a subject you have a poor understanding of.

Post samples are basically worthless, the market is tiny and most of the legit dealers don’t want to bother wasting money on meme guns.

He could have destroyed the receivers and sold parts kits for 3-4x what they were evaluating them at.

Some police chief got busted by the ATF buying post sample MP7's for the purpose of cutting them up then selling them as parts kits.
Not even that would've saved snickers.

I doubt it was the sanction dodging that got him flamed. It was probably the fraud with the fake demo letters. The two former chiefs also pled guilty on that.

It's usually not just one thing when you start piling up shit like that, but yeah either or both would be plenty to start attracting attention and being former military would make it worse not better.

      >plea deal

In the world of the criminal underground, pleading guilty is a sign that a deal was made behind closed doors. With the threat of life in prison, many can be persuaded to become informants for federal intelligence and even US military intelligence.

However, the threat of taking away your guns, or even going to life in prison, does not compare to the threat of harm to your family. In war, real war, spies and intelligence orgs will go to great lengths to serve the war effort. Imagine the looming threat of taking away your guns and going to life in prison, what would that persuade you to do?

Now imagine it is the same government authority threatening to kill your wife and children, and now you are thinking like a CIA agent. The CIA and special forces work closely together, and this fella lived and worked in NC (North Carolina). Coats is a small town near the area, and this guy was ex-military working with local law enforcement to import machine guns.

        >Coats is a small town near the area, and this guy was ex-military working with local law enforcement to import machine guns.

Clarification, by "the area" I mean the massive military base that trains and deploys American special forces.

        https://installations.militaryonesource.mil/in-depth-overview/fort-liberty

        >Fort Bragg is the largest US Army base by population, serving a population of 47499 active-duty Soldiers, 51,564 Reserve Components and Temporary Duty students, 16,276 civilian employees, and Contractors, 71,960 active-duty family members. There are 125,278 Army retirees and family members in the area.

It is now called Fort Liberty as the former name was politically incorrect, but it seems they haven't updated the name on this part of the website.

The ATF turns over all asset forfeiture items to the US Marshals which sells them and disburses the funds according to judgemenst and equitable sharing policies. nothing valuable and/or rare is getting destroyed, the ATF only disposes of commonplace firearms after no longer needed as evidence
