didn't you just make this stupid thread like a few hours ago?

Putting aside the dude being a gay boomer loser who made all his own problems and talking just the engineering, what kind of tech are we talking about here? Modern or from back then? If modern then more cameras and screens for a better all around view, and with some thermal and such. Better vision would help avoid deep obstacles. More into the coolant and oil system is the other obvious one. The thing was plenty well protected against small arms, falling into a basement plus the engine burning out was what did it. Obviously it would have run out of fuel at some point but could have gone a bit longer.

The most obvious /k/ answer I think is actual remote operated gun turrets or something. I think that'd be counter productive though. IRL they considered asking for heavy weapon backup, hitting it with a hellfire or something, from the national guard, but dismissed it as being more of a risk then just letting it run down. While he did have guns and shoot at people, and could easily have killed a bunch of folks including kids in the initial surprise, it didn't work out that way and once the surprise was over and everyone ran away it wasn't much remaining risk, "just" property damage. They could wait it out. Having 50bmg turrets and killing police or random people would have changed the equation and likely summoned in something to destroy it right away.

He shot at people anon. If you own guns you should know there is no such thing as "hurr warning shots". He shot at propane tanks. He demolished places with no warning that had been evac'd as he began to smash them. Yeah he didn't specifically go to do a mass killing but it was luck that nobody died.
      >at the end of the day this was a nice guy pushed too far
No, he was a jackass homosexual angry that government wouldn't pay for his sewage system who then nursed a grudge against everyone with zero justification. Killdozer was neat but the guy was a piece of shit.

    That depends.
Changes he could've made at the time, or changes that could be done in a modern rendition?

I think you could do more damage with an excavator instead of a dozer, not to mention an excavator can often get itself out of holes in the ground.

it's also much easier to drive an excavator with precision. They drive like a skid steer or a ZTR mower with independent control of each track, it's very easy to precisely maneuver or to turn within your own length. A bulldozer is strange to drive. There is a "gas pedal" but it works backwards from most vehicles, the throttle (a lever) is normally set at full speed and stepping on the pedal slows you down. Then you have clutches and brakes for each track independently. That's great for driving in a straight line at a fixed speed but it sucks for anything else and it's much harder to steer.

It lacks flamethrowers. I don't care how, where or why, it just lacks flamethrowers. Picture unrelated.

Nah, he wasn't trying to kill people, just destroy city property like he would destroy him. Remember, at the end of the day this was a nice guy pushed too far, not some insane vigilante wanting to make the world suffer.

You could still have flamethrowers pointing up.

Yeah but when you keep in mind the amount of damage he did with what he built, vs the damage he COULD have done with what he built, he showed considerable levels of restraint.

it remains a design choice I would make
as i understand they usually try to shoot people who are driving armored bulldozers
