What can you do around a night campfire rather than drink alcohol?

I want to enjoy outside without being a drunk. What else can I do?

Eat, relax. That's enough if you have an active life and you're used to putting out work.
Slackers will never be comfortable outdoors. stay in the city.

      >Pass out at 8 o'clock
during summertime you hike to atleast 23pm and then start to make camp
during winter you make camp at 4pm and then get so drunk you can maybe fall asleep come the 8pm if your lucky

I believe it. My parents were avid hikers when they were younger and took me on hikes as soon as I could walk. When I was 15 or something we were camping in the Pyrenees and mom had planned a hike for the day. She somehow severely misjudged the distance and we hiked from 11AM to 11PM. Last couple of km to the campsite were in complete darkness, except for our flashlights.

Or shooting stars. I really felt like the brightness of the stars in general were showing me the distances between each other and I was looking In 3d.

you will know when you grow up and find yourself always busy doing something for someone else never having time on your own.
alcohol is very suitable mixed with this but thats where willpower comes in.

I have Mushishi downloaded on my phone, it's a very comfy show to watch an episode or two after a day's hike.

Look at the campfire if it’s night time. Poke it with a stick. Toss little pieces of wood into and watch them catch fire.

Read a book (nice by a fire, but good during the day as well).

    Relax in a hammock.

Come up with a ghost story, or just a weird thing “that happened to a guy you knew way back.”

Think about what you’ve accomplishments that day.

Praise Christ and reflect upon His teachings.

Craft, clean and sharpen stuff, oil. Make cordage. Weave. Add accessories to bows, wax bowstrings, make paper cartridges for hunting. Set up traps, or check traps. Make cleaning butter using oil and hard fat or wax. This is what people have always done.

Cook. Not a big filling single course meal. Think roasting little treats over it. Like Korean bbq. Adult smores. Bake a desert in a dutch oven.

Make herbal tea or hot cocoa on the fire and drink that instead. Make smores. Cook. Tell spoopy stories.

      >I’ll usually jerk off multiple times on the forest floor too
Love blowing loads in the wilderness. Don’t even need fap material I’ll just look out at the mountain tops until I start spurting like peter north; wipe the last drop of jizz on a nearby leaf then keep it moving. I’ll often save everything to “purge” before making camp, meaning I’ll wander off to find a nice little spot to piss, shit, and nut before turning in. Sparking up a joint at camp after that is pure bliss, no better way to wind down at camp.

Read a book, whittle, practice knot tying, prepare food, practice an instrument, process kindling for the morning, bask in your superiority over degenerates who have to get high to enjoy the outdoors

If you're gonna whittle though be more careful than me, watch out for knots, and make sure youre using the right tool for the cut youre trying to make. If this happened innawoods I would have bled out. I was blue and losing consciousness by the time I got to the er, 5 minutes away. Kind of forgot how much you can bleed from a finger.

Short doesn't mean shallow. Tard. When you bleed enough in 5 minutes to start turning blue and fainting you got a problem, doesn't matter how big the cut is or where it is. Nothing pussy about taking care of yourself and making sure you tend to injuries. Go larp on a different board newfag because clearly your mom's back yard is as out as you get and this board is already crawling with basedboy wannabes.

kek, good one man. I almost didn't go to the hospital because it didn't look so bad, but then it started spraying my walls with blood.

And go figure that's exactly where both of them are. Thumb wasn't as bad. Completely severed the vein and nerves in my index though. No feeling above that knuckle. But it's cool, when I rub my nipple it feels like someone else is doing it for me.

cook food over the fire. stoke the fire and think.
when im solo camping and its sun down i go to bed like an hour after. nothing to do at night. im not hanging around a fire for hours by myself. and if you're with people then just talk to them.
why does this need to be spoon-fed to you anyways? god damn you're just hanging put outside. i swear this board just encourages stupid questions.

    Journal
Creative writing or Solo RPG (a bit of printed-out paper and a deck of cards isn't heavy)
Draw sketches, and if they're shitty feed the fire with them
Look back on hike and get excited for next hike
Listen to an album. Use earbuds, and really LISTEN to the music as intently as possible
Talk solemnly with fellow travellers about your hopes and dreams
Read a book, preferably something you might not read at home
    Practice your knot tying
Bring some lotion or oil and massage your own feet. Extra credit if you have a nice smooth-ended stick for working on knots and calluses
    Any number of mindfulness practises
