Not living in a gun infested shithole. so an unarmed Canadian is much safer than an armed American. And that's even without the propensity of gun carriers to hurt or kill themselves more often with their gun than being saved by it.

A whole 7% of violent crime is crimes, 5% clubs and 3% firearms? So 85% are much less dangerous fists?

Seems like gun control is working.

If you're really worried about deadliness instead of trolling then target the knives and clubs. Good luck doing any of that at all.

Nothing. Even having something legal, if carried for the purpose of self defence, becomes illegal.

Literally nothing, the law specifically states that if you carry around absolutely anything with the intention of using it for self defence, it becomes an illegal weapon, you MIGHT get away with it if the object you used as a "weapon" was a common item that someone could legally and legitimately carry on their person at any random time, but even then there's a good chance they'll try to bring you in on weapon charges, because the government actually hates you and laughs when you die (if you're white).
A few years back Alberta wanted to legalize pepper spray for self defence and people (mostly people who weren't even from Alberta) absolutely lost their minds, their logic (you're gonna get a kick out of this) was that if you made it legal to carry pepper spray, then criminals who intended on committing a crime would carry it around (you can already buy pepper spray in any sporting goods store over the counter for bear defence and shit).
I hate this country so fricking much, the whole thing seems like a social experiment that was a miserable failure but they refuse to the pull the plug and pray at some point it magically starts working.

Watch it and learn from it anon, our gun laws were actually great before the 1980's and we could own virtually everything Americans could, and then it turned into a slow but steady downwards spiral.
The gaygification of Canada should be taught in American schools to make sure burgers never make the same mistakes.

Look what they did to their glorious Heroes of the Great Patriotic War who were maimed or wounded:

      1. Declared them politically unreliable. Spied on them, accused them of espionage. They feared the disabled might provoke subversive sentiments. To be fair, there were 10M of them.

      2. Ordered the destruction of photos depicting individuals or groups with amputated limbs, disfigured faces, or blindness

      3. Gave them cruel nicknames like “Scooters”, “kangaroos”, “samovars, and “Flounders”

      4. Maimed veterans who were homelessness were charged with of “parasitism” and shipped off to poorly financed and equipped Invalids’ Homes in distant regions far from family. They died in droves.

      5. Refused to include them in parades or celebrations.

I legitimately should carry around dog spray in toronto because there's people who walk pitbulls around my neighborhood but now that i'm posting about it if I ever used it in a self defense situation they're dig up this post and nail me with it, ah well

pitbulls are illegal but I've seen them too.
Legally if you defend yourself against humans that's heckin immoral.
Defence against dogs aren't a problem unless the judge is a white woman, heh

      This
They only way to play is illegally.
Criminals carry weapons, criminals have no issue to harm others, but if (You), the tax paying Wagie dare to hurt one of them (who are likely black or abbo), then (You) are a monster who white women cry.

I swear this gay country encourages rule breaking at every turn, and only the most gullible moron actually follows the rules.

You can carry a knife while technically illegal you can just say that it’s for work. If you live in the right area you could carry some bear spray

dogspray is far more practical than bear spray

      Anonymous

Dog spray is the answer, just don't be a moron, only pull it when it's needed, and do not tell anyone that you carry it for any reason other than defense against dogs and other animals. Even then it's entirely possible you'll catch a charge if you use it, especially if the """victim""" is a disaffected urab youth or a proud First Nations individual. But it's better than the alternative.

You can definitely get away with carrying any reasonable knife, and you should have a knife just for practical reasons in day-to-day life. But knives are terrible defensive weapons.

did any of you consider that you can simply illegally carry a handgun? how many times have you been frisked by the cops in your lifetime of living in gayanada? Simply conceal carry your firearm illegally. the miniscule chance you get caught is worth not potentially dying to a chug knife attack

Seen tons of people say shit like this, never seen any of them actually do it. Maybe in some places in the states where it'd be a misdemeanor to carry without a license or whatever, but in Canada, you can face years and a lifetime weapons ban for it. I've never been frisked by cops, but I've also never carried a gun that might print and tip off a cop or a particularly perceptive citizen.

        >never seen any of them actually do it.
Yes, and? If they were carrying it where you could see it, the cops could see it to.

I'm not Canadian and have no idea how common it is or isn't, but when we're talking about things that are a felony if spotted, not spotting them is hardly a reliable indicator that they aren't happening.

Canada is moronic, You can legally carry knives, pepper/dog/bear spray as long as you don't "intend" to use it for self defense, so if you carry a knife you have to say you use it for "work". Owning a firearm for self defense isn't a valid reason to own one but you can legally use one to defend yourself. If you happen to use anything to defend yourself they will still try to put you in jail (only if you're white) and they will spend millions of tax dollars to do so as well as years, their game plan is to basically make you go bankrupt so you can't afford a lawyer. It's moronic and evil like the government.

when talking about non-permissive environments, you need to think creatively: what can serve double duty and accompany a plausible alibi for its possession:
"why do you have these carabiners?"
"my hammock is designed to need two, I was going to the park, i climb for fun etc"
"why do you have this plumb bob and cord"
    "I'm building a shed"
"what do you have this heavy pen"
    "it was my grandad's"
    and so on
I met some freight-hopper who carried a bike lock and chain with him, claimed it was common to keep the key in the lock so it couldn't be classified as a weapon
coin saps or sections of hose that you can fill with something heavy like birdshot
fill an empty soft drink bottle with quick cement mixed with black food dye
variations on the slungshot using socks or other articles of clothing
laser dazzlers, your mileage and legal liability may vary https://www.jetlasers.org/13-dazzlers-lasers
