nice op, its xalled a possibles bag

"In the days of the mountain man, a "possibles bag" was carried in which they carried everything that could possibly be needed for the day: black powder, powder measurer, flint and steel, lead balls and patch, a patch knife, and a skinning knife, as well as other personal items."

        >OP wants a "carrying device" for basic b***h range day & PrepHole shit
90% of the time you don't need more than a holster & gun for every day shit.
Basic modern EDC is (phone, keys, wallet, gun, 1 extra mag, multitool).
But do whatever you fancy I guess... (pic related)

        >Congrats, You described a Woman's purse... a bag full of seemingly useful things you'll likely never actually need.
Whenever are you actually going to need that survival essentials/possibles bag today unless SHTF or your on a long trek hiking trip?
        Likely never
Just keep a bug-out/survival kit in your car if your paranoid & basic EDC on you, That's all you really need to do.

Same goes for the range, you'll likely be only shooting 1-2 guns & not even use a full 2 boxes of ammo in most cases.
No real need to go full larp-erator at the local fudd nursing home.

always maximize the weight you need to carry for basic shit, especially while camping, add several large brass buckles to all your leather so people can see just how fashionable you are while strutting about innawoods

OP you will look like an butthole with that bag unless you're like 6+ feet tall and swole. Just buy a normal range bag like everyone else.

I've got all my muzzle loader stuff stuck in a tackle bag so I can just grab and go.

when carrying a long gun in the woods, I use a magazine pouch that is meant for 2x ak 7.62x39 magazines, in which I can also fit 2x 5.56 magazines or 2x .308 mags if I really stretch it.
It is malice clipped to my backpack's cumberbund, my backpack doesn't have molle so it just goes over the cumberbund and back into itself, stays sturdy regardless.
If I am just going out to hike around and shoot at something everything once in a while, 90 or 60 rounds is enough.
If I am full-on larping I carry my stuff in a chest rig that's kinda derivative of and Alice or SMERSH rig.
Finally, if I am going to the range to shoot a lot in a sedentary position, I pack all of the ammo and other supplies into duffel bag, and wrap the guns up in skme old towels that double as mats, or can be rolled up and used as a shooting rest

I have a possibles bag that I always take hunting. it has two zipper pockets. big enough for some basic supplies I might need, a small bag of jerky (or other snacks) and a 8oz Stanley flask so I can have a little water to sip on while hunting. It's not enough to last me all day, but is plenty for a morning or afternoon hunt.
It was originally supposed to be attack to the stock of an AR, but I attached an canvas SKS sling to it.

I love my possibles bag and I highly recommend one. If you want a cheap and simple option, Chinese military surplus SKS drum pouches work great too.
