i don't even know what it means. But i just assume they're a snarky millennial and therefore their opinions should just be completely ignored.

      Basically this.
It's like a 9 year old calling me a fartface

I go out and touch the grass, there's no reason to stay engaged in an argument when they've already conceded. I go outside and enjoy my victory in the sunlight with my grass friend.

      >Exhibit a
      >I won because you're a fartface

I just think it's some desperate moron teenager that doesn't know how to have an actual discussion without being defensive and rude. Then I feel sad for our future

I laugh heartily because I actually live on a farm and regularly walk through grass or handle hay (dried grass)

Last time I saw someone tell someone else to “touch grass” I looked through their Twitter and they tweeted 90 times in the past day. I think it’s mostly projection.

Walking on grass is healthy and feels good. Lots of nerves on the sole of the foot. I think contacting grass raises energy. Good times playing in the grassy fields as a boy.

It makes me unbelievably angry. Every time someone says it to me I pace around my room making angry noises. It pisses me off to no end. Sometimes I punch the wall. Once I accidentally punched my television and broke it.

Ooooh let me tell you how much it rustles my jimmies. It makes me so mad when I hear it that I shake my fists and scream at the sky. If I hear it again I’ll even slap my wife around a little bit. Better not even ask what happens on the 3rd time

I actually thought it meant to touch a woman's pubic hair. it seems like a lame insult otherwise

I assume everyone online is a latte swilling urban homosexual who works as a waiter and thinks society owes them something.

I'm ESL but for me it always sounded a bit offensive. Similar to when an incel is being told to "get laid", but it has the outcel connotation for the city dweller that doesn't get out instead. Probably started thinking of it that way because I also knew the saying "if there's grass on the field, play ball"

Makes me think about how much better my lawn looks than my neighbors. My water and fertilizer regimen even bleeds into his lawn and just takes it like a tiny dicked lawn cuck.

It makes me feel as though the person telling me to “touch grass” is untrustworthy, as they refuse to put a minor amount of trust in others. Or perhaps they’re sociopathic.

It also feels like when some random person tells you to Google something that’s a basic part of the job you’ve held for 15 years and hold a senior position in (literally had someone tell me to Google the word “calibration” because I was using it wrong; I’m a senior metrologist).
